Does anyone else have this feeling about this year's Coug team that seem to be missing from last year's team? Falk will always be anchored in the hearts of all devout Cougs but he didn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling of confidence that Minshew has bestowed. Man, it feels great to be Coug right now.

I felt it at half time during the Stanford game.

Felt to me like, after a 3-Mississippi, no way was LF moving the chains. Minshew, by contrast, is downright exciting. After a 3-Mississippi he sees 4 guys open - or he will run it himself. Luke ran in bullet time while everyone else ran in real time. OL helps too.

We’ve discussed Falk’s Achilles heel on here a lot in the past. He was slooow at everything. And that cost us some opportunities. He’s a great coug the all time wins leader at QB in WSU history. The guy who paved the way for 3 consecutive bowls and our first bowl win in over a decade. The all time Pac 12 passing leader. But he was very slow at his decisions, and that cost him lots of sacks, put us behind the chains at times, and made the offense sluggish at times.

He was sometimes at his best when he had to do game winners like UCLA, like Rutgers or Oregon because there was a sense of urgency I think. It forced him to play quicker but if he had it his way he would take his time look for the perfect throw the perfect read the perfect coverage.

Minshew on the other hand is a gamer quick reading make a play get the ball out in a hurry kind of guy and it shows. I think there was some report somewhere early in the season where Leach told the team to play fast, faster than they ever had before and Minshew is the reason. He can handle it while Luke could not.

Minshew wants to go fast make reads fast throw fast. He is the pro-typical “Air Raid QB”.

The closest thing we had so far was Halliday but he wasn’t a true Air Raid guy. He picked it up but it wasn’t his training as a kid. That was Minshew’s and it shows.

To Minshew this is exactly how he’s been taught to play ball since he was in middle school. He played Air Raid his whole high school career and had the concepts in JUCO and never sort of got away from it until ECU (which I think he though was Air Raid because of the history until he got there)

Now as a graduate transfer with 1 year he is playing in the offense he’s know most of his playing life and it shows. He knows the routes by heart, he knows the concepts, he knows the reads. He just does it. Add in the swagger and leadership and the rest is history.

He is basically Graham Harell/Baker Mayfield as seniors he just went on a detour route to Troy,JUCO,ECU. But from the moment he stepped on campus it was as if he was here for 4 years.

He walked in knew all the routes, knew all the terminology, all he had to do was win over the locker room (which he did) and now he’s leading the offense he knew slicing teams like a hot knife through butter.

Why the team feels different is pure 100% confidence at the QB position. Minshew believes 100% in himself his receivers his o line, the backs and it shows.

Falk was tentative, methodical and looking for the perfect opportunity.

Minshew believes he is the perfect opportunity now snap him the ball so he can clown the other team. And that’s what he does.

Explain this "bullet time" thing. I don't know what you are trying to say. Seriously.

It's like falk is moving this slow:

And everyone else is moving at this speed:
