OK, maybe not completely....

We've had OT offseason conversations here before about things like great drummers. In that vein, I've been listening to retro stations on Pandora with stuff from the late 70s/80s, and I've rediscovered Golden Earring (Radar Love, Twilight Zone).

He's not Jon Bonham or Neal Peart....but Cesar Zuiderwijk is pretty damn good. Listening to the extended version of Twilight Zone, I think the dude may have 6 arms with the number of drum elements he's got going. Pulled up some video to see him work, and there's some of him out there playing 2 kick drums backward with his heels while standing to play on upright drums and cymbals.

Alright I’ve got a music find I’ll share. I might get roasted by some but 🤷. So I’m a product of the 80s and have always been partial to classic rock. Always hated the new country, the fake cowboys from the city can F off. But big fan of old school country and southern rock (Alabama, Willie, Waylon/Highwaymen Skynard, etc). So I heard a song from the Drive-By Truckers I liked and saved to my Spotify. Listened to a bunch of their songs and really like them. Easy listening country/southern rock vibe. Gravity’s gone is the first song I heard but they’ve got a bunch of good ones.

The Brothers Santos

Give these guys a listen. Half brothers (same mom). Not going out on the limb to say they are the next big thing but you never know. First release.

Their playlist is pretty solid too.

Since the topic at hand is drummers, I will opine.
First - I never understood bands that had 2 drummers. The Grateful Dead, the Moddy Blues (I think), who am I forgetting?
Second, is it just me or do rock drummers tend to die at young ages? John Bonham and Keith Moon for instance.
Related, I have the "Who are You" cd. Their best work overall, IMHO. But in the cover, Moon is sitting backwards in a chair that says, "not to be taken away". He died not long after. Creepy, huh?

They do. And often in weird ways. This is referenced in This is Spinal Tap. Speaking of I heard they were making a sequel.
