Saw it. Don't know if there is any truth to it, though. Stuck my foot in that steamy pile yesterday... didn't want to propagate another steamy pile.

No. And none of the flight trackers I looked at showed any indication of one. But someone came from Savannah for lunch in Pullman yesterday.

Lewiston shows no departures headed to Pullman. Pullman shows no arrivals from Lewiston. Neither shows any arrivals from anywhere in Arkansas.

Yeah but there is an Elite Airways flight from GEG to Oxford direct, flying right at this moment.

Gotta admit, it would be kind of satisfying to cut bait with Leach and start the search for his replacement now. He's taken our program as far as he can, and we're in a good position to start a fresh search.

After looking into it, the charter flying from GEG-Oxford is the same service Ole Miss uses for athletics. This is looking real that either a meeting has taken place or is going to. But I don’t see anyway it’s not that.

Yeah, but that isn't what all the twitter rumors are about. They explicitly show several flights to/from Lewiston and Pullman out to Arkansas. Something about a lawyer/booster's private plane. So 95 (other) is spot on. Stuff is being made up to propagate their own wanted outcome OR just to stir the pot.

Now saying that, Hell if I know if CML is coming/going/interviewing/talking/chatting/taking a dump/taking a leak/apologizing for being too harsh or any other potential in life.

Sounds like someone looking on google maps and fabricating what they think is a believable narrative.

Wth would a private charter stop in Lewiston and not fly straight through to Pullman?

geg oxford is going to Spokane isn't it ? that's 90 minutes away, wouldn't they land closer ?

You would think so. Bama landed their plane at Pullman. Why would they drive an hour/ make Leach drive an hour to meet when there is an airport in Pullman for just that purpose?

There may be a logical reason - I'm not a pilot and am not familiar with these things - but what it is is beyond me.

All the while, an Ol Miss charter plane is in GEG... Sounds like something is off. If CML is in Arkansas, they wouldn't fly him out of GEG/Pullman. And vice versa that Arkansas wouldn't be flying him out of GEG/Pullman if he's already in the south.

No logistical sense, here. At the very least, one of these stories is fabricated. Either to get a reaction out of WSU fans or their fans. Maybe this is a way to test waters for various admin's. See what the fans think, kind of thing. But CML can't be in 2 places at 1 time.

Since I know exactly nothing about private commercial, I will gladly spew my best guesses: fuel or other logistics that are not available in Pullman; perhaps it costs less to land/take off there; privacy, especially if the meeting is going to happen on the plane.

I am sure the cantankerous troll hopes he leaves, then he'll take credit for running him out of town.

It landing in Lewiston or Spokane helps to minimize internet rumors to some degree. Planes from Arkansas or Mississippi to Pullman stand out boldly.

I can't imagine Oxford, MS has a ton of charter services. Anyone flying a charter from Oxford to Spokane would probably use the same service as the Ole Miss athletics department.

Regardless, we've entered silly season and lots of stories gets cooked up this time of year. I don't trust the rumor and innuendo surrounding coaching searches. I'll believe Leach is gone when it happens but, for the time being, I think he stays here.

Something is up.

Walden texted Wulff in Austin "You need to update The Plan immediately. Change the font or something"

Two hours later there was a reported disturbance at a local FedEx Kinkos when a customer order for a big print job in Comic Sans font was misplaced.

I, like many of us, am a big fan of CML/TSO, and truly appreciate him lifting us out of the darkest depths of Mordor. He made WSU football relevant and fun (again), put us in the hunt for the Pac 12 N trophy, gave us hope and put a bounce back in our collective steps. No doubt he is an odd duck, but he is our odd duck and I have thoroughly enjoyed every quote, every cough, every rant and every win.

But

We all know the day will come when he will be lured to what he might consider greener pastures. He is pushing 60 y/o and has probably one more good run left in him. He is a proud/stubborn man who wants the opportunity to prove the Air Raid can thrive in the biggest/baddest conference in the land. Don't doubt me on this...he will indeed jump to the SEC if the opportunity presents itself. Some speculation about him coaching in the NFL. I don't see that happening, to big of a risk for the NFL owners who tend to straddle the fence when it comes to the "woke" BS that the No Fun League has become. Leach would last about as long as Rush did on MNF.

Selfishly I want at least one more year. If he leaves, our recruiting class completely collapses and the new coach will have 1 month before LOI in Feb to piece together a respectable haul for 2020. Everyone on this team, specifically speaking for the offensive side of the ball was recruited with the Air Raid in mind. If/when we bring in a new coach, more than likely the Air Raid is a thing of the past. That doesn't necessarily break my heart, just wondering how the kids on the roster who have bought in will react to a new offensive scheme.

Just spit balling here, but my spider senses are telling me that CML is heading East/South sooner rather than later.

if anyone at wsu has a brain in their head, the air raid will continue. That offense and coaches who run it must be retained imo. I think if Leach ever does leave wsu can do themselves a big favor by embracing what leach has done and trying to build on it. Look no further than texas tech, they tried to go away from leach and they have spent 10 years in football hell.

Coaching is a big fraternity, and there are plenty of coaches within leach's coaching tree that could be brought in. I think Leach loves wsu and appreciates what wsu has done for him.

I hate to say this but... I honestly like how the Dawg coach has stepped down. It was obviously open and transparent with the admin. They obviously talked extensively regarding the other idiot that's going to step up and take over. Talk about a seamless transition with little/no affect on the program.
Now given, that is not normal nor to be expected but man... when looking at program health, kudos. This "is he? Is he not?!" crap sucks.

I still have faith in the ineptness of Arkansas admin, they are corrupt and they are fools. I think ole miss and ark are the only jobs to worry about. Missouri is too pc and I don't think any other job is as good as wsu. Leach wouldn't make a lateral move.

So you're suggesting Spurrier is our next HC?

That's something I can get behind. Timing might be right to grab Graham from USC and anoint him OC. Bring back Ken Wilson from Oregon and give him the DC title.

Sucks.... but every year we will be going through the same song and dance with CML. His goal isn't/wasn't to retire at WSU. He is grateful Moos and Floyd (RIP) gave him the opportunity to resurrect his career. He is itching for something bigger...I would be doing the same thing. Home is Key West and Pullman is about as far away from home as one could be living in the lower 48.

Don't want to be the debbier downer here just speaking the truth...oh and I have already bought my funeral insurance so the grieving period will be short lived.

I don't know about CML always wanting bigger and better. And before I elaborate let me just say: I'm not being all homer-y and pining for him to stay. If he goes he goes, if he stays he stays. That being said -
he's had a taste of a big time program and hated it, or at least the politics that went with it. His own words from swing your sword. Regents and boosters are even worse at blue blood/ east coast/ SEC teams. I would think that if he bailed it would be to somewhere that didn't have that issue, which might be Ark for a while, but eventually they'd get full of themselves.

I could see a WSU coaching list look something like this. No particular order:

Graham Harrell
Sonny Dykes
Alex Grinch
Rich Rodriguez
Bryan Harsin

I said "bigger"....we all know there is no such thing as better than pullman/wsu. Bigger in the sense that Mike is a very competitive man and competing at the highest level (SEC) is something that has to be appealing to him. After he gets run out by the regents in the SEC he will look back and know it was indeed not better, but at least he had his shot at the title.

I think some are forgetting that he would be at Tennessee right now, were it not for their AD being fired. Despite what Leach says, they met, there was a conditional offer and he accepted it. He wanted that job. That’s a bigger, (somewhat) blue blood, SEC team.

Need a 4 year commitment from an entire staff.

If this is the best we can get we will quickly revert to Wulffian levels.

None of those names are anything close to Wulff.

Frankly, Bryan Harsin would probably turn us down. Graham Harrell is a legit name. Sonny Dykes got fired at Cal for hovering in the 5-7 category, but that was an absolute dumpster fire when he took over. His Goff teams were pretty good. Rich Rod wouldn't likely be considered for our job.

Well, Currie was a rogue AD when he made the offer but Leach obviously would have accepted. Ole Miss and Arkansas aren't in UTenn class but I don't doubt he would take either job just based on their resources and not being in Pullman.
