I would have gone, but losing to Cal, (the way we did), just makes Eugene a lessor priority. Anyone else feel the same? Aren't we do for an upset?

I vowed off of Autzen after our trip in 2003. I've been to every stadium in the P10 and Colorado and Eugene was the only place I've feared for my safety. I can't recall all the different things that were thrown at us, spit at us, how many threats of violence... not to mention the cops started harassing as well.(that's another story...)

I can't imagine what it like now with all the fair weather... ANGRY fair weather fans in the stadium now.

I am leaving tomorrow for Portland. I never miss games down there. I love it there. Yea some fans are bad but I like the intensity.

I'll be there. Sitting in the season ticket section with my niece. So if you see a speck of crimson in the wall of yellow and green- that's me. Brother-in-law used to play for the dux pre-Knight days and he has invited me to attend a U of O alumni gathering pregame. I'll be there too, smartly attired in Coug colors of course. They can't do anything to me that my old drill sergeant at Ft. Polk, La. hasn't already done so I am ready for them. If I can survive Sgt. Henry's abuse then I can deal with the ducksters. Hoping for a good game.

I'll be there. I went last time we played down there and had absolutely zero issues with fans. I also don't go around looking for issues either.

You probably brought it on yourself. I have been there several times including that 03 game and never had any problems. Then again,I have never had problems at any away stadium.

How much are tickets (any section)? The ones I saw were $65 a piece... A little too high given my uncertainty of how the game will go, the drive, and the reputation of that stadium...

If I can find a better deal ($35 and under), I might consider attending with a few buddies.

WTF, dude? Seriously, that is a fking hell of a thing to say to someone.

Perhaps you failed to notice that I mentioned that I had been to every other p10 stadium with no issue? Does that sound like someone that "brings it on themself?" Our only sin was sitting on the alumni side because that's the only tickets that were left. Did we cheer? Hell yeah. Did we taunt the crowd - not in the least. Never even turned around except when shoved or otherwise assaulted.

GFY

Well, you are the only one who apparently had to fear for your life at Autzen. I've been there multiple times and never once had an issue. Either you brought it on yourself, or you have incredibly thin skin.

Oooooor… You sat next to different people? I don't know…. Just a guess.

2003 was a special game. Oregon fans were amped for that one and the mood was definitely hostile, in general. The press had a field day setting up this game all week long (field week?) as a premier national caliber matchup.

I think it speaks to what was going on with both teams at that moment in time, however and not a blanket condemnation of Oregon

Oregon had just rolled a fairly touted Michigan team on the road, and SI had them on the cover. We did not receive the same press for destroying them the next week, though.

Oregon beat Michigan at Autzen that year.

I was at the Autzen game when the Cougs destroyed Oregon 55-16 and there fans are horrible.... got pushed for cheering when we had a pick 6. The fans there are capable of poor behavior. But at least some duck fans by the 'poor duck fan' who pushed me verbally attacked him and told him to straighten up! A little old duck lady about 80 dressed in green from head to toe., said, "he's been an asshole all season long" !

Saturday was my first time in Autzen. I had heard horror stories about their fans' behavior and how they were the worst in the Pac12 so I entered with a good deal of trepidation. Had no problems whatsoever. The worst "abuse" I was subjected to consisted of gentle and good natured ribbing about my choice of apparel. Even had a couple of fans after the game congratulate me on the Cougs' win. I rather suspect that the poor behavior on the part of U of O fans depends a lot on who one is sitting near and one's own behavior. I was having a great time even before we won.
