AP Poll

The AP Poll is the only one I pay attention to during the season. The amway (lol) coaches poll is worthless.

I find it very interesting that we were tied with LSU last week, but somehow they got more votes this week and moved ahead of us.

I surprised the dogs didn’t move down after that horrible performance.

It's time to move to at least an 8 game playoff. That way the playing field is fair for more teams and not just for the sec and other so called blue blood programs.

Then why did WSU drop when it lost with that logic.
With Wilners logic and those like him, you could play the top 12 teams in the country, go 0-12 with hard fought losses and be ranked 13th. Losses don’t mean shit apparently.

Maybe the 2008 Huskies were a pretty good team after all.

Wilmer has always had suspect logic and is very over-rated as a writer. He is just the only one that covers the Pac 12, so people think he is good because there is no one else.

Need a 64 team playoff. Cut the season to 10 regular season games. Every conference plays 8 league games. No FCS match ups. No conference championship games. Guarantee each team plays 12 games a year with post season games.

Yeah. Although I read that this year's cluster has the CFP people having exactly zero such discussions.
The 5 Power 5 Champions. Highest ranked Group of 5 team. 2 wild cards. Play the first round in the Bowls. Heck you could almost restore all the traditional lineups. Pac-12 plays Big 10 in the first round every year in the Rose Bowl. Big-12 in the Orange against whoever. SEC in the Sugar against whoever. ACC in the ? is their traditional tie in, if any?

I see your 64, and I raise you to 128. Better yet, a year-round season, and the NC is the team that still has enough uninjured players to field a team.

At 64, that would increase to 6 additional games to a regular season if you went all the way. Right now, with all the bowls, it's actually 5. Include the CFP currently and the participants of that game would get an increase of 4 games.

I think what would need to happen is adjusting the scheduling. There's a boatload of ways to do it but playing 8 conference games, 2 non-con's would make a total of (If you run the gamut and play to the CFP championship) 16, rather than the potential of 14.

2 games increase. Not too bad. It's like politics. It's about slowly eroding preconceived ideas. My dad always talked about rounding the corners off of a square. Next year, another program will get shafted and an 8 team will become more acceptable. 10 years down the road, every year someone will yell and holler about "fair" and it'll turn to 16. When 32 is on the table I think they'll just go all in at that point and go 64.
