Texas St was offered a half share to join the Pac today and said no. I really don’t think the Pac is in any shape to dictate membership Let ‘em in, full share. If not, they will be in the Big 12 in 2 years.

Can I start back up saying I told you so now? Reverse merge looking a little better in hindsight? The Pac-soon to be non existent is a f-ing national joke. Good job Teresa. Keep swinging for the fences.

Edit: 2 day old article below. Surprised that we all missed it. The article itself is a joke. Dumbass writer clearly has the Pac and MW confused. Doesn't change the message. Sac State here we come (and fine with me).

Not doing the reverse merger is just fine. The F up was NOT, NOT doing the reverse merger.

The F up was low balling Memphis, Tulane, USF, UTSA, etc.

The F up was not inviting, offering a fair offer to UNLV, when invited, offered BSU and company.

The F up was not inviting UNT, Rice.

The F up was offering a half share to Texas St, instead of a full share, etc.

The F up was turning down Sac St.

The F up was not inviting, not offering NDSU

The F up was not getting a 8th football, all sports member, etc, BEFORE insisting on doing a media deal first.

Not doing the Reverse Merger is the only right thing the PAC 12 has done. It's just too bad, sad Teresa Gould, Pac 12 FCKED everything else up.

F up? Let’s give it a little more time, UW jumped at a half share to go to the B10. This is negotiation, they can always offer them a full share further down the road.

This is what happens when you put amateurs in charge. In addition, WSU is quickly plummeting into irrelevance because of the decisions the BoR are making and the weak leaders they are putting in places of power.

You continue to refuse to understand or acknowledge that CSU, BSU, FSU, SDSU and USU obviously did not want to be in the same conference with the remainder of the MWC schools.

Yeah.....that's the issue with the Reverse Merger talk. The only ones interested are the schools that were left out.....and Loyal. We are going to get an 8th school and it's going to be fine. I would have loved to have landed UNLV and been done with this talk already, and I get Loyal's annoyance that we somehow f#cked that up, but at the same time, UNLV has had crap football for 40 out of the past 45 years. Nobody wants the bottom half of the MWC. I'm waiting until I see the media deal and the 8th team before I make any judgements.

Did anyone else laugh at the section in the AD’s latest message where she said they’re working on a media deal that will support our athletics for years? Right before they announced that they’re begging for money in multiple silos?

I also chuckled at the “matching donation” idea. A couple guys are putting up 250K, if others will donate the same amount. I’m not making fun of those guys - good on them for putting up the cash. I’m laughing at Anne for pushing that as an incentive…because 500K isn’t going to move the needle.

Like the Traitorous 10 didn't want WSU or OSU in their conference? Pot meet kettle buddy.

Not sure why you call that pot meet kettle, but OK.
The Traitorous 10 did not want to be in the same conference with bottom feeders WSU and OSU. The MW 5 didn't want bottom feeders like NM and Wyoming. Neither does WSU. You know, the NM and Wyoming teams that beat us last Fall?

Pot meet kettle sounds about right to me........

Hmm. Still sounds right to me. Paraphrased an excerpt: :)

"Oho!" said the pot to the kettle Gibby to Loyal;
"You are dirty and ugly and black!
Sure no one would think you were metal,
Except when you're given a crack."

"Not so! not so!" kettle said to the pot Loyal said to Gibby;
"'Tis your own dirty image you see;
For I am so clean – without blemish or blot –
That your blackness is mirrored in me."

Additional reports out there confirming that Texas State did recieve and turned down our lowball 1/2 share (half share of a media deal that still does not exist). 5 page thread on the WCS site. Best not read it unless you want to digest 100 posts all agreeing that the Pac-2 are idiots.

Oh,, and I TOLD YOU SO.

No need to confirm my reporting 😂

I have looked all over the internet and can't find anything to confirm that Texas State received a 1/2 share offer from the PAC-12. But if this is true, then I'm going to be thoroughly p!$$ed off.

Math quiz time.

Let's suppose the PAC-12's new media contract pays $12M per school per year. But with the 50% offer, Texas State would only get $6M.

So, what happens to the $6M that Texas State is missing out on? It gets divided up evenly by the other 8 members of the PAC-12, right?

$6M / 8 = $750,000 per school.

So, we low balled Texas State with a 50% offer just so that all the other PAC-12 schools could each make an extra $750,000 per school per year??? A pathetic $750,000??? That's it???

Oh, my gosh. What kind of idiots are making these decisions?

Well, Beav, your President who promoted that incompetent twit Teresa Gould whose sole motivation is to keep her Commissioner job. Sad because she is actually a Coug (PhD). But our shitbag Prez was right there as well.

And OK, this link is lame, but it is up to 8 pages of comments on the WCS boared.
