ASU's 1-6 record is somewhat misleading. They've had significant injuries this season, but some of those guys are back now, including their all-conference caliber RB and TE.

They're going to line up and play us exactly like UCLA did.

The running back and tight end eats their spinach. They are beasts!

If I were ASU, I wouldn't throw a single pass against us.

We have our hands full.

And their front 7 is no slouch, either.

No kidding.

We are favored by 6.5? Wtf? I’m glad I’m not a gambler cuz some bets seem too easy and I imagine that’s how gamblers get themselves into trouble. We might win but this line seems crazy to me.

I'm with you on that. I guess it's because they have issues at QB and have had trouble scoring.

The Arizona game was a reminder that we can lose to anyone. We are playing in Tempe where we've often struggled. Good reasons to be concerned about our program.

That said, ASU is a bad football team that has found ways to lose games. Are we the tonic that cures their ills? Hard to say. Their offense is bad and it's likely to be a close game in the fourth quarter. This is the type of game that Dickert coached teams have won in the past though.

They just punched the #5 team in the country repeatedly in the face and one could argue they should have won….on the road. Their offense while they didn’t finish, moved the ball and were physical running it. I’m not saying we should be a big dog here but this line looks equally as ridiculous as the Arizona line did in hindsight. We may win but if we do I see a nailbiter. The team we’ve been watching isn’t blowing anyone else out IMO.

Is it possible that the ASU game was a letdown game for UW where they came out flat after an emotional win over Oregon? ASU is probably the best 1-6 team in the country but they are still 1-6. We need to take them seriously but they are not Arizona. The Wildcats are two plays away from being 6-1 right now. If JDL had been injured sooner...they'd probably be at least 5-2. Anyone who sleeps on the Wildcats is in for a surprise. Don't let that ass-kicking get into your head. Now...if we lose to ASU? Yeah, we're hosed and probably won't make a bowl game this year.

ASU has played a tough schedule with a decimated QB room. Oklahoma State and Fresno State non-conference. USC, Cal, Colorado, and UW in league play.

True. Also true that I’m happy if we get out of Tempe with a one point win Saturday. The Devils are not to be trifled with!

Hard to read ASU's performance against UW as anything other than a let down game for the Huskies. ASU forced 4 turnovers and was only able to muster 7 points off them. They are one dimensional which will allow us to stack the box. Avoid turnovers and explosive plays and they won't be able to score enough to win this one.

You guys realize how many times in our history we've gone against "non-offensive teams" and they have season highs?

I think we have been WRONG with our defensive outlook enough times to throw out the "but they don't score a lot" mentality.
I think we thought that about Zona too, haha. Some Cougs never learn.

Get ready for a 45-42 game on Saturday!

They have a coaching staff who hasn’t fully adapted to the system they’ve accidentally stumbled into. ASU has held multiple good opponents to under 350 total yards. That’s elite. They have a power running game and one of the most bruising TEs I’ve seen. They’re going to play us like UCLA and Oregon State. If our offensive line implodes again, which is a distinct possibility, I see us losing.
