Confused what you are saying here. They were caught off guard, realized it was everyone for themselves and made the move they thought necessary. UW and Oregon were more responsible for this. I respect ASU and UA for sticking together. Imagine if UW and Oregon had both done the same for WSU and OSU.

Crow's history. He was the biggest vocal support of Larry Scott. He was a big proponent of streaming which ultimately led to the GK hire. He put the conference in this position and at the last minute, bails to the Big-12 so he doesn't have to face the mess that he largely made. That's BS.

Thanks for clarifying. I’ll admit I’m not up to speed on all of the players and their contributions to this. He seemed reasonable in the interview on the surface.

I would wager that after the money dries up, regional conferences will return. They existed for practical, logistical reasons, and they will come back when the budgets demand it
