Beats me. The article on War Eagle didn't mention that. He’s facing vax mandate issues at Auburn…how would that work?
The same way it has worked for other college coaches in Washington, sans Rolo and staff. One applies for an exemption, that is granted and an accommodation is made...like I've mentioned previously, other college coaches have been approved and accomidated in Washington. He’s facing vax mandate issues at Auburn…how would that work?
Understand there is exemptions, but the idea that UW would hire an unvaccinated head coach after watching the Rolo shit storm, and grant an exemption is lower than 0%The same way it has worked for other college coaches in Washington, sans Rolo and staff. How long have you lived in this state?Understand there is exemptions, but the idea that UW would hire an unvaccinated head coach after watching the Rolo shit storm, and grant an exemption is lower than 0%
You have an example of a Division I coach with media and recruiting responsibilities that was granted an accommodation? The same way it has worked for other college coaches in Washington, sans Rolo and staff. Couple things with this. Kinda fits the landscape of coaching these days anyways, even the best marriages tend to end sooner than you think they will. One of the issues I’ve always seen with the UW job is the expectation vs reality thing. They are indeed a top 25 caliber program. Because of a few glorious years 30 years ago their fanbase thinks they belong in the discussion with Bama, Ohio State, etc. and they should be playing for the CFB playoff every year. It’s simply not realistic and that separation from reality will wear on even the best coaches, like CP. I’m not saying set the bar low but if you want a coach to stay and feel appreciated, you’ve got to at least be in the ballpark of reality.I am not sure what the UW is going to do, but since Don James left after the 1992 season, the Huskies have had 7 coaches in the past 28 years, James was there for 18 years, they haven't come close to that since, the longest tenured coaches in the past 28 years were Lambo and Peterson with 6 years. I remember all the UW fans saying Leach would leave us quickly. Well Leach was at WSU for 8 years longer than any coach the UW has had in the past 28. So whoever it is will be beating the odds if he lasts more than 4 years. The seven are: Lambo, Ricky, Gilby, Tye, Sark,Pete and Jimmy, quite the collection, Ricky and Pete are the only ones to get them to a Rose Bowl, Coach Pete is the only one that had success without some type of controversy. So if the past is any indication the future, the Husky fans shouldn't be getting their hopes up.
