The Monty Show got it wrong....

"I really love The Monty Show, so I was disheartened to hear their disrespect for the effort I put into this podcast each day. I will still watch their show, but this was a hard couple of days. Oregon State and Washington State, in my opinion, will not go to the ACC, SEC or Big 10. Holding out to be in a power five league, there is only one sensical destination. That is the Big 12. No changes to the CFP can be made until that move takes place. If you have any qualms, just text me. Monty could've reached out directly. I would always love to talk. 254-300-7617."

I got to tell you. I've been listening to The Monty Show since the realignment has started. They....both Monty and co-host Jake, have so much disrespect for Washington State.

Jake (co-host with Monty), keeps bringing up the fact that Oregon State had a 10 win season. They never bring up this years' performance and results, let alone being undefeated and ranked, in addition to beating Oregon State. Also, they keep saying, "No and No", (including Brett McMurphy), by suggesting our only destination is to rebuild with G5 or join the MWC.

They also avoid the conversation about our recent TV Ratings, saying essentially the TV markets are Pullman and Corvallis, not Seattle and Portland. It sounds like Monty knows nothing about the Pacific Northwest? Has he ever been here?

Monty indeed has a strong and commanding voice. That's all that he has. A powerful voice, but he may be wrong, and certainly disrespects Washington State.

In addition, a good point from Drake Toll, (Locked on Big 12), is that the BIG 12 and everyone else has to keep silent, until a deal is signed and in writing.

Damn he just opened up a can of worms. No idea the texts about to roll in from Wazzuwatch’s finest. Maybe we will get an interview from coach Biggs on the show! Loyal, text him how many different generations of chicks you pleasured since the conference imploded!

C'mon guys, give it a rest.

Clickbait is a competition, just like every other form of business. Folks who make their living with their mouth have to fill airtime with something...anything...regardless of whether right or wrong, fact or rumor, or simple lies. To assume anything else is just naive.

well I'm having a cold spell, allright? On the shelf would be good.
Fair enough.

Back to the topic at hand here’s how I see it going down:

We will hear nothing on this other than speculation for the remainder of the season.

Once the seasons over we will get news of WSU and OSU to the B12.

There’s plenty of time, money, etc to sort out next years schedule, and perhaps ‘25 if needed.

As we continue to see capital projects move forward and recruiting not miss a beat, my guess is folks who need to know are aware of where this is headed. Dickerts tone tells me a lot. He believes this is getting sorted out and he will be here for the foreseeable future…with a nice raise for him and his staff.

Nobody is in any hurry and they don’t have to be. WSU/OSU hold important cards and everyone else at the table knows it. Scheduling won’t be an issue.
