On one hand, the opposition has not been world class. But on the other hand, we've stumbled in the past against the same sort of opening schedule. The team as a whole seems further along than in past years at this point. Better across the board; pitching & defense in particular. Points for pick offs & run downs. Some good base running (though there have also been the expected early season goofs). It is too early to say for sure, but we seem to have deeper pitching than we've had in a long time.

I'm waiting to see how we do against some better pitching staffs before making any conclusions re: hitting.

None the less, we are off to a good start, and it is because we are playing well. Can't be anything but pleased for mid-March.
