definitely a missed opportunity. Question for those of you that understand round ball better than I do: what is the attraction to Milan? Is it that we have no other option. Plays mediocre defense and is a complete liability on the other end. I understand his athleticism but what good is it if he can’t even put the ball on the floor without kicking it out of bounds? Watching him try and lead a break is painful.

I do wonder if we might get off to better starts with Flynn more on the ball at the point.

Acquaah is really struggling making making the transition. However both the other options at guard, Skaggs and Hinson, have their own limitations. Hinson has the talent, but transition to D-1 is similar issue to Acquaah. Skaggs can shoot, but is limited athletically. I think the feeling is that Acquaah has the most upside, and is closer to contributing as a starter. Skaggs is always going to be limited to instant offense off the bench. Hinson might end up being pretty good.

Great answer. Thanks!

Problem currently is teams just leave Acquaah alone on the offensive end and he hasn't been able to make them pay. When Daniels has an off game and Flynn starts slow like today it really starts to limit options to Franks.

I know Kent likes to run, I think we could still get up and down the floor with a line up of two guards and three forwards. Franks primarily plays on the perimeter anyway. It also might provide us with more of an inside out game.

Like was said at halftime, we must have a dependable third leg for offense or the league seaso will be long. Disappointed Daniels is not a better shooter. He missed some key open looks. He has to make those. Acquaah is hurting us too.

Franks is an incredible talent. I wasn't surprised we had a tough shooting day today. UC Davis is a good team..and we were due for a down shooting game. I wish we had Davis' inside guy. The Nigerian Nightmare. What a player.

Would like to see Chidom play with Franks and Bernstine/Pollard.

I'm far more concerned with our horrid interior defense than I am with scoring. It was an uncontested layup fest for UC Davis the entire game.

That’s very true we have poor rotation if the initial defender gets beat, which also seems to be a problem.

Half court D was bad, but contrary to conventional wisdom you can have off days on defense too. Lack of intensity showed up on both ends if the court

One soon learns that lack of focus and intensity will cause a team to lose momentum against a good team which is hard to reverse.
