California COVID surge....i don't see Pac-12 football resuming anytime soon

NOTHING is happening until after the election.

Just lay back and enjoy it.
Yep,November 4th will be just like groundhog day. All will be revealed then... 6 more months of Covid or it will be gone like a fart in the wind...lol.

If the league is gonna play, cut out the CA and AZ schools. Fill in with whoever you can and play.

It’ll be spring football and honestly I won’t mind the football players getting an extra 6 months to prepare on campus

increase testing you increase cases....did people actually think the virus just goes away?....it doesn't....we have to have herd immunity but we keep postponing that....death rates are still much lower and we have ALL of 29 people in the hospital in our metro area of Spokane which is about a half a million people. Hong Kong flu killed a million, back when our worldly population was about 3.5 billion....our population is well over 7 billion now, our deaths from covid are appox 575,000.....time for perspective.....
But, as long as the goal posts keep changing....form "flattening the curve" to now NOBODY can get the virus at all, we will remain in this panic epidemic...

we need sports.....the kids need sports....

the Spokane hospitalizations dropped down to 25 today.

Me too. Make it a Pac 12 7v7 tournament. I’m afraid that’s as close to amateur football that we will get this year.
Take the Washington and Oregon schools. Throw in Utah and Colorado. Start play on 10/1. Play each team twice. Once home and once away.

No byes and your done on 12/5. One bye and your done 12/12.

Everyone can play meaningful games and everyone gets five at home.

I like the concept SD. But you can see the Pac-12 playing the "we are all in this together" card due to recruiting, etc., with the Cali schools carrying the biggest voice at the table.

I like the idea. Im not a fan of the air travel. I would be more inclined to schedule teams that were a bus trip away. BSU, UoI, ISU, EWU, PSU. I wouldnt care if they were Big Sky or Mtn West. Just get games in. BYU and Utah might work.
