Can’t say I’m surprised and will throw this out. If it’s true Moore is out I hope he figures things out.
Well, that kind of attitude is not going to cut it with Smith or a lot of coaches and programs. I can see why Wichita State didn't mind seeing him go.

I saw this when Kent was still coach but sometimes kids say they may not totally mean or spontaneously. It stuck with me though. Sounds like maybe he just moved on and we were no longer a fit. For his sake I hope so.

yeah no loss here because of the attitude aspect. But from a talent aspect Isaac nor Williams are on same level. But both of them are better fits for WSU. Had heard Moore was headed out with previous staff but got a reprieve with the coaching change. Some guys never figure things out. He seems to one of those guys
Where do you come with this gem? Moore was a 2018 SG who had a few offers, nothing much and signed with Wichita. He was Rivals 3 star as is Williams. Also same size 6-5 when signed. Didn't/wouldn't play defense and was a horrible shooter at Wichita. He averaged 16 ppg at Fern Creek and was going to Cleveland State but went to Buckley Prep for a year instead. Also averaged 16 at Buckley. But wouldn't play defense so cut loose by Wichita.
Him and Noah Williams have pretty much the exact same ratings out of high shcool. Actually, Williams is rated a little higher than Moore on every site. I know you're gonna do whatever you can do belittle this new staff El because they are proving you wrong.
they aren't proving me wrong. But they aren't doing anything better then the last staff. lets see they kept Henson and the preferred walk on Brandton. Lost Murphy to Pittsburgh, weren't able to keep Nigel and just lost Cannon who in my opinion was the best juco recruit in many years at WSU and was going to be a starter next year. Whats funny is most on this board hype guys up when they are on board with WSU but then trash them when they leave. Im waiting for someone to say how Cannon wasn't good anyway or whatever. Like most did with Murphy, or even Moore now. Bottom line is this program is years away from being relevant so face the facts and deal with it. Buy your tickets to support the program cause that's what you should do anyway. Its a shame most of you wouldn't do that for the team when EK was head coach. Again I wonder why that is??? That's great you all are showing support for the new coach. Guess it helps when he's white and people so badly want him to succeed.

Well, well. THAT was completely uncalled for and complete BS. EK was a crappy coach, and in some of our opinions, not really a good guy despite all the big smiles. He did not deserve our support, and sure as hell doesn't deserve his $4.2 million payoff. Color (or lack of) is not relevant.
As a person of color, this post is infuriating. There are people on here that make, in my opinion, racist remarks from time to time. They seldom realize that they are doing it. But, when you throw out some blanket remark without basis, it lessens the times when there is actual racism.

2.SMITH HAS REACHED 20+ WINS, POST SEASON
3. SMITH HAS TURNED AROUND SOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT PROGRAMS TO TURN AROUND
4. Wade Cannon leaving, and those who have left is hardly Smith's fault.
5. Smith has convinced some to stay, not leave, recommit.
6. Smith is Filling every scholarship spot with QUALITY RECRUIT REPLACEMENTS
7. Isaac Bonton, Noah William, Dion James, Rapp, Henson are AWESOME recruits.
Isaac is one of the TOP JC transfer guards in the country and best since Terrence Lewis, Shamon Antrum, Aden.
You El C yourself said that you wanted Isaac, when Kent was Coach.
Then when Smith was after Isaac Smith, you El C, 69 said that Isaac was too good for Smith that Isaac would play for Top programs instead of Smith, WSU.
You did, say pretty much the same thing about Noah Williams.
So when Smith was after them, they were toooo gooood for Smith. But after Smith gets them, tbey are not that good.
Losing Wade Cannon, and Nigel John does hurt, but a 5/4 Center/Forward that is 6 ft 9+ in. to 6 ft 11+ in. 229+ to 259+ pounds, athletic, etc, is the ONLY thing missing, needed.
And Smith based on the awesome job has done so far, will probably fill that need just fine.
Technically need, want a True Pure PG but Isaac Bonton with his 4,5,6 assist per game is enough of a pg, combo guard, until get a True Pure PG.

I was not going to post .. I was just going to read your illogical posts. But good grief idiots.you guys have to realize that there are many people who are not enamored of Smith s hiring as you guys are. Over two weeks? You posted multiple times as recently as last Thursday. Yet another fact error on your part. I'm sure it's tough to stay away from the board as you read from so many Cougar fans who have hope, interest, and are excited once again about the basketball program. Under the circumstances, I don't see why it's such a bad thing for us to feel that way.
If Kyle Smith has a win-loss record no better than Ernie Kent by the end of year 3, certainly by the end of year 4, I'm confident he'll get the same type of criticism from most of us that EK got these past couple of years. That's what happens when your coaching record at WSU is closer to Paul Graham than it is to Ken Bone. I'm betting Smith will have a significantly better record at the end of year 3. We'll just have to patiently wait and see.

I supported Kent way longer than most. I initially knew that he didnt just roll the ball out on the floor for a bunch of 4 stars to get to the elite 8. Somewhere along the line I think Ernie git old and lazy thinking he could in fact grab a bunch of Seattle talent , and let them play . Both assumptions were wrong.
As for Kyle Smith, history suggests he has about a 35% chance of achieving a moderate degree of success. Having said that I think he fits the profile of a guy who can possibly get us to at least a level of respectability . I dont think a younger hot commodity guy who is parlaying a couple of really good seasons into a step up would be as good a bet.

Umm, there is a little difference between having divergence of thought and accusing the collective Smith supporters of being racists because Kent didn't get a ton of support and they are hopeful about Smith
