I think two years at UCLA means she is all Bruin now.

"UCLA transfer guard Charlisse Leger-Walker will sit out the rest of this season for the top-ranked Bruins while continuing to recover from a torn ACL she sustained in January.

Leger-Walker will use a medical redshirt and return for the 2025-26 season, coach Cori Close said."

This was a scenario I thought was possible. Take a redshirt and rehab year 1. Play year 2 and finish her grad degree. Going to a different institution for grad school was a rumored driver. I don't know what her undergrad degree is in, but that is commonly advised.

Yeah, I think we all thought this could be a possibility. It is a new college sports world we live in now. It is kind of why I didn't follow or get excited about football letter of intent day. Players leave often now, so it became less student athletes and more professional athletes.

I think this one was driven by a few things. She was projected #7 in the WNBA draft. ACL kills that and she needs to come back to school. Everyone she played w/ for 4 years basically gone. Then grad school.

I think the student was a driver in her decision and I don't blame her. I wish she had come back, but personally still see her as a Coug. She's a huge reason for 3 straight Tournament appearances.

I get where you are coming from though. I see Krystal as a Coug and she only played her last 2 years.

I think of Minshew as a Coug, and he only played one season in Crimson. Personally, I think of a player where they finish. But I do not tell anyone else how to think regarding this. There is no right or wrong answer.

In the vast majority of cases, a player is tied to the last school that they played for. Minshew is 100% Coug and only wears Coug gear when it comes to college affiliation. A lot of that depends on the player of course. I can't think of anyone who left WSU and played for another school who chose to identify as a Coug later on...but I suppose it happens.

The only person who finished somewhere is that I can think of who still somewhat identifies as a Coug, and that is only because he obtained his degree here, is DJ Rodman. But I do not think the majority of fans (Cougs and just basketball fans) think of him as a Coug anymore. I don't think people will think of any of the players who transferred out as Cougs anymore.

Pretty much on point, but I would love guys like Cam Ward if he was still shouting out for Wazzu and continued to message back on how much we did for him.

To me... those who "forget Wazzu" get an F U and can go kick rocks.

Real Cougs don't hate on WSU... don't go quiet and forget WSU!
