From last week. Obviously a little late but better than not, especially for those of us elsewhere besides the West Side that didn't hear it.

Broken ankle is similar to breast implants… Only CML.

KIRO and CML

I thought he was very relaxed...namely with Jim Moore who was very critical of Leach during the Marques Wilson departure.

What was Moores big criticism of the way Leach handled the Wilson

deal. I know they don't see eye to eye, but I don't remember him being overly critical on the Wilson situation. I do remember him not liking what happened in Utah, and I do think he felt they would be better in 2012 than they were in 2011. That is what I remember but I don't listen to him everyday so he may indeed have been upset with the whole Wilson deal.

I don't recall anything on Wilson. Moore was a baffoon in a 2012 interview where Moore basically went on a whiny rant about how Leach was supposed to take WSU to a bowl and Moore was all sad that it wasn't going to happen.

Moore was not happy about the Wulff firing and quickly jumped on the "We're paying this guy $2.5M a year, he should have us in a bowl in year 1 and every year thereafter" bandwagon. Totally disregarding the dumpster fire Leach inherited.

I thought Coach Leach came across as relaxed, funny and even a little bit gracious. Nicely done.

Moore was actually very very happy with the Leach hire. He just flipped his attitude after we weren't continuously improving and had a melt down loss or two. He expected linear, quick improvements much like everyone else. He writes/says things to get attention...its his job. I think he is okay with Leach, he just has been a bit more frustrated like a lot of people.

This is absolutely not true. In an interview with Kevin Calabro prior to Wulff's firing, Moore spewed forth "F-ck yeah," when asked if Wulff should be fired. He then proceeded to laugh derisively at the question. Subsequently, upon rumors of Leach's interest in the WSU job, he said, "I can't get enough of Mike Leach."

Edited for reality.

I think that it is fair to say that most of us make more extreme statements when somewhat inebriated than we do when sober, whether we are sports commentators or engage in any other profession. If social media had been around to record any of the historic sports writers, we would have heard all kinds of things that would have colored our opinions. The oft-discussed fact that Jim has had more such incidents than most in recent years is just kerosene on the fire. I used to look at his writing from a sports fan perspective. Now my first thought is that I want to see him successfully recover and stay that way first, and my interest in his commentary comes second. And there is no denying that the guy is a Coug through and through. His motivations are pure WSU, though his interpretation of reality has gone off the rails a few times as he has pursued what he thought best for the Cougs. I've included him in my prayers more than once.

Crazy...are you insinuating Moore is drinking and writing and

commentating? Is that why he is in your prayers?

Ed, I grew up adjacent to a rez. And had extended family members with substance abuse issues. It has been around me for all of my life, and I tend to feel for anybody who spotlights himself that way...and hope that he/she manages to regain control of their life.

Well, I don't think he grew up on a rez...I think he grew up in Redmond

I also question what you mean by him "spotlighting" himself in that manner. The manner that he drinks beer?

You have taken a huge leap that he has had or has a drinking or drug problem.

He seems to have control of his life. A newspaper industry died, which is probably a bad thing for a writer yet has spawned a new gig. A drive time gig at that.

He hasn't been fired from 710 because of lack of performance or away from work issues.

From the people I talk to that know him have never mentioned problems that you prayed for.

Which is what you did a few years ago when you insinuated Leach had a drinking problem because he didn't show up to work until noon or later. Guess you forgot that.
