Cougs knock off St. Marys 84-79!

We held on down the stretch though. We were pretty gritty this game, rebounded well, good at the line, and Flynn and Franks made big shots. Pollard and Hinson were really good off the bench.
Really wanted to play against a good St. Mary's team to see how we responded. They played smart for the most part and showed toughness. Really big win for this program!

Georgia or San Diego State on Sunday. Team and Coach Kent has off tomorrow and will watch the AC. This was our best game of the year.
A nice win for the cougs. St Marys was Nationally ranked at about 21. i did not see the game as i was traveling from state to state
This is a really nice start for the program. We haven’t started a season like this in a while. St Joes and St. Mary’s are upper echelon mid-major programs and consistent NCAA tournament participants.
Props to Kent. I think he’s doing a good job rebuilding the roster and our coaching staff, and he’s doing it with zero support. I hope the fans and students start turning out for these guys. They’re a fun group.

St Marys is projected to be a Sweet Sixteen team. It is far too early to project how the cougs will fare in a loaded PAC Basketball conference.It is just nice to see a spirited competitive team with fire in their bellies.They were 18 point under dogs according to Las vegas. It will open some eyes in the PAC 12 Conference

we dominated the second half, 16 point lead. the team tightened up the last 3 minutes or so and st mary nailed some 3's, but they hung in there and sealed the win
Best part about this game was that we played a very good game as a team. A few of our other wins have seemed to be due to great individual efforts, we obviously had great individual efforts thus game especially from Flynn but I thought we played great as a team.
The players seem to like each other end they communicate and move the ball well As i said before the talent is better than last year and the team has depth. I hope this continues but there will be hiccups along the way with this young team
St Marys is and has been one of the best coached teams in college basketball. It was nice to see that the cougs came through in crunch time.The Gaels work extra hard on defense.and the cougs had to keep their composure and work hard offensively to put the game away.
