No. He was built for recruiting to smaller market Texas schools. Was not meant for WA st. I think the hope was he could pull Tx talent here and he could not do that, and had no in roads to Cali or Utah or AZ.

He was transfer recruiting coordinator, then moved up to recruiting coordinator after Omura went to AZ.I don’t even think he was the recruiting coordinator. That dude went to Arizona. He was like on-campus somebody. Rolo hired him after his vile TikToks during the pandemic. He really had no connections anywhere, not even Texas. He went to Rice because he wanted a bigger job here and Dickert wouldn’t give him it.
I think the well known CA route was much better than the well known WA route. Dickert has enough recognition to get in schools here. CA should be the primary focus. And with Atuaia and Maile, Utah/Hawaii.
He hired an extremely well known CA high school coach who is known across Los Angeles.Disagree. He is a nobody here. It isn’t about walking in the door. It’s a transfer of trust from the HS coach to the player. No one knows him here. Wisconsin? Yes.
I’d cut Hawaii loose altogether. Too far. Too few kids. Too little results.
The talent is in California. WSU needs to be a SoCal team. I would prob cut Utah loose too. Whoever you find in Utah you can find in CA.
