If your school does not have a brand name that carries it, you better have someone on staff who can walk into high schools and have a brand name of their own.

This guy wasn’t it here. Hell, they don’t have anyone now. Who on the staff coached high school football in WA at one time in their career? Anyone? If PK walks into WA high schools what is he known for??? Not WSU.

I think the well known CA route was much better than the well known WA route. Dickert has enough recognition to get in schools here. CA should be the primary focus. And with Atuaia and Maile, Utah/Hawaii.

I don’t even think he was the recruiting coordinator. That dude went to Arizona. He was like on-campus somebody. Rolo hired him after his vile TikToks during the pandemic. He really had no connections anywhere, not even Texas. He went to Rice because he wanted a bigger job here and Dickert wouldn’t give him it.

He was transfer recruiting coordinator, then moved up to recruiting coordinator after Omura went to AZ.

Disagree. He is a nobody here. It isn’t about walking in the door. It’s a transfer of trust from the HS coach to the player. No one knows him here. Wisconsin? Yes.

I’d cut Hawaii loose altogether. Too far. Too few kids. Too little results.

The talent is in California. WSU needs to be a SoCal team. I would prob cut Utah loose too. Whoever you find in Utah you can find in CA.
