Every team we've been against has been "really good" and "on fire", yet we've been shutting down team after team.
I'm super excited for our game vs TAMU, and I have no idea what to expect, but what I do know is that the one consistent thing about the Cougs during this tournament has been - not going on a long cold streak. I think if we continue to do that we will be competitive vs anyone else in this tourney.
Tamu is the only other team in addition to WSU that has not only DESTROYED every team they have played in the NIT, but also against the top, best seeded teams.
Other teams, have been lucky to face teams that UPSET the supposedly tougher team. But WSU, Tamu has not gotten to play a team that UPSET the supposedly tougher higher seeded teams.
And many think that Tamu, SMU were, are, etc, the 2 best teams in the NIT.
And not only has WSU DESTROYED these top, best, higher seeded, supposedly tougher teams, but have done so ON THE ROAD.
As good as Tamu is, has been, they haven't had to do it on the road, in the NIT, like WSU has done.
WSU can hang, win, beat Tamu. Not saying WSU will, just that they can, semi good, semi ok chance.
And on the other side of the bracket, Xavier, St Bonaventure, are not as good.
And if Xavier wins, they have just barely won, and can semi easily be beaten, probably beaten by either Tamu or WSU.
And if WSU either wins or destroys Tamu, they WSU will probably beat Xavier, or St. Bonaventure and win NIT.
So WSU has a semi good, semi ok chance to win NIT.
