  • Minshew played like shit. But I saw the shot on TV where he was walking off, obviously in tears. Welcome to being a Coug, Gardner. Don James was right, and we all know it.
  • I can't believe we lost in the snow.
  • I don't even want any of this "oh we won 10, great bowl ahead, blah blah". No NY 6 for us. We lost to the f-ing mutts again. We'll lose the bowl game too.

Thanks for this, I’m about 7 st archers deep. Yeah Minshew really just froze on his receivers and tried to keep is safe. In retro, would have liked a little more risky play, seemed to avoid the slants, deep ball etc. Felt bad for Pelluer who had a good game and deserved a win. Man I hate the mutts but their seniors stepped up and I can’t help respect that.

Yah, brutal loss. Defense was bad and our offense was worse. Sickening loss !!

Minshew quite possibly has seen snow ten times in his life and I doubt he has ever played in it and it showed

Stream of consciousness starting: Not sure how pissed off to be. Pretty much dread this day every year. Had hope it would different. Felt it wouldn't be. Proud it's the closest it's been in a while, but still outgunned with one play that cost the game. Not sure where the out routes where with the receivers. Knew the middle would be congested. Leach out coached again. Receiving the ball when you win the toss? Really? Not taking points with a FG when the opponent gives you a gift? This loss is on that stubborn ass hole.

Ten and two and feelin' blue??

What a fantastic season. We've beaten Furd 3 years in a row, the quacks 4 years in a row, Utah 4 years in a row, OSU...3 or 4 years in a row. Absolutely incredible.

The glass is half full guys...if Leach sticks with us...which is no sure thing. What a treasure he is for Wazzu football.

I know we need to go through the 5 stages of grief guys, but I'm speeding forward to end of those and want to celebrate an amazing season.

Yup. I hate losing to those cocksuckers as much as anyone but this was supposed to be a 4-5 win team this year and UW was supposed to be gunning for bama. It took a GD blizzard against UW and an uncalled cheap shot agai st SC or this team could be undefeated. As is will be in a great bowl game and look to have a stellar recruiting class developing as well. We have Somd stud QBs waiting in the wings and a TON of guys coming back next year with a lot of beef coming on the D Line. The future is bright. We will be fine. And we will slay the dragon that UW has been.

I'm not judging anyone. That was a really tough loss. It hurt. I get it...and we all have to process it on our own timeline.

However, I'll be damned if I allow any fanbase or team to cause me to lose perspective on what a great season we've had. I won't give them that power over me.

But you're second point is a strawman. No one is trying to convince you of anything.

Some would rather dance around AC wins in '82, '83, and '85 rather than have the W/L record of the past four seasons.

I have just gotten started wallowing in self-pity. This was the year. This was the game where we were going to break through and beat those assholes.

And I'm out of beer. Crap. And I need to go into the office today and catch up on some work, because I couldn't get anything done all week. Good thing I'm out of beer I guess. I just want to crawl back in bed and sleep all day.

One last comment (because I am so good at "last" posts). Everyone should watch the replay when it comes on. We had guys open. GM didn't see them, or made crappy throws. Every pick and near pick came with an open guy that he missed or overthrew or whatever, other than the Hail Mary. Our offense can work in the snow. GM choked. Big time. All game. Like we choke every year now.

Other than myself, I really feel sorry for Pelluer. 0-6 in Apple Cups. His Dad was 0-4. Not sure about Granddad. Great Grandad played on the 1930 Rose Bowl team, so he must have beat them at least once.

I think my biggest problem is that I became truly aware of the Apple Cup in 1981. Got a hand on the second goalpost in '82. Watched us win three out of four. Again in '88. '92. '94. '97. So it became ingrained that we would come through every 2,3,4 years. Now this. They thrash us 6 years in a row, their classless players (Gaskin) taunt the fans, their classless coach makes fun of us.

Oh but all is well. F-that.
