What's unusual about having six teams from the Pac-12 is that, in my opinion, the conference really isn't much better than it has been in the past few years. Oregon and UCLA got exposed (surprise!) this past weekend after playing a largely soft schedule up to this point. (UCLA's non-conference "murderers' row" included Bowling Green, South Alabama, and Alabama State). UW and OSU have better programs than last year, but the bottom rung of the conference– Cal, Stanford, ASU, Colorado– are easy fodder for conference opponents.
Don't get me wrong, Oregon, Utah & USC are good teams and deserve being in the top 25. I don't think any of them should be top 10. UW, UCLA, OSU are worthy of top 25 consideration. But I just don't think the conference is suddenly back to being a powerhouse.
