Forecast for Tempe on Saturday is a high of 90.

Yes, I know it's a dry heat.

Cold, clear weather would help us vs. ASU, as would the home field advantage (obviously). Playing them in cold rain would not favor us.

Playing down there in 90 degree weather shouldn't be a problem. We're an offense first team, and there aren't a lot of skill players who would rather play in 35 degree weather vs 90 degree weather.

Could be a 55-50 type game.

Bring the pickle juice.

The Pac12 held the men & women's cross country conference meet in Tucson about 3 or 4 years ago in the mid-day October heat. (The conference meet rotates and the meet could have been moved earlier in the day but wasnt)

The heat was a problem.

Two conflicting thoughts:

1. Wish we could have scored a desert night game. That big of a delta in temps is significant; the other guys are in it every day. Not an excuse, and not as big of a deal as snow, wind, extreme cold, or heavy rain, but it's a factor.

2. We can't have a team that only functions well at 72 degrees with zero wind, and when it's been 72 degrees with no wind for weeks prior, especially in Pullman. Weather is a part of the game.

it was over a 100 in Lewiston during fall camp, just 5-6 weeks ago, weather shouldn't be an issue. If it is, it's an excuse.
Yup exactly. Hopefully the boys are drinking the right liquids this week. Alcohol + 90 degrees will give you cramps. 90 degrees with no humidity if you’re taking care of your body is nothin.

if its not snowing or raining air raid is fine. Come to think of it, air raid teams are made for a dome.

Watching the stream of the soccer game, the announcers mentioned that there was snow on the ground yesterday, Melted as today's temperature was in the forties. Also noticed that our ladies were in jackets hanging down and unzipped while the Az girls were in puffy down jackets zipped up to the neck. Didn't help us though. Just thought that I would mention it on this weather thread.
