Daugherty passes at 64

June and Mike were really quality people. I know they were enjoying their retirement in Boise. Way too young.

Sad news. 64 is seeming younger and younger.

Very sad news. Talked to her informally several times in various chance meetings, always nice and always a class act. Sometimes it’s hard to remember these coaches and players are just everyday people doing their job. RIP

So very sad. One death is too many, and we have had a few of our Cougar family leave us way too soon. I remember a few years ago that she was on the way for a doctors appointment when she passed out in the parking lot of the doctors office. Her daughter ran inside to get help and it ended up saving her life. It appears that she battled health issues. Thoughts and prayers to her loved ones.

Yes- she was a really genuine and generous person, and really one of the most successful coaches in PAC12 history. She took UW to 6 NCAAs in 11 years, but just couldn't quite live up to the excitement of the Chris Gobrecht years. For whatever reason it never quite clicked at WSU, but she represented us well. Sad to hear she has passed.
