December will be very, very important for Dickert.

Recruiting is high schools is going to be key. Our numbers currently are low.

What I am not 100% sure of, is will putting more emphasis on the transfer market going yield long-term success. It feels to be like the JC quick fix to a degree.

I feel we have been very light on the high school side and I hope we aren't putting more eggs in the transfer market then we should.

Agree on this, but I think unavoidably, given how the year has gone, how much we are losing, and how late in the year his staff is being put together, he is going to have to play a lot more in the transfer market than we usually would want. Then have to hope the staff can really get out there and build relationships for next year. Hopeful we might be able to at least snag some HS recruits who, e.g., his DC was recruiting at Nevada, if they're at least fringe Pac-12 types. I agree with what I've seen on here saying that a lot of Mountain West rosters have kids who can play in the Pac-12.

You can’t ignore the transfer market. If there is a kid that can help you right away, get him. But why would you invest in talent that has limited years left and needs to be developed??? You can get high school kids that need to be developed and have all 4 years and a redshirt.

Ward or Kalagis might bring a Nevada or Wyoming DL with them.
Really curious who Dickert hired offensive side of ball. So far no coaches who have recruiting connections in California. Lots of Texas, Wyoming, Dakotas, Arizona connections but that's about it.

The slightly ironic news is we seem to be building a network of UW alums around our program, and around the ‘91 team at that. Seems like high school coaches are taking a liking to it in the area. What that translates to, who knows.

No connections to the Polynesian players as well.

Looks like Ward's primary recruiting area is Arizona. Would love to see Dickert hire a guy like wr coach Eric Scott who can recruit LA really really well. Most of Nevada's current LA studs were all recruited by him.
