9th? Let’s be real, Arbuckle should be gone tomorrow. He’s been atrocious at play calling in the second half of several games.“Fire 🔥 The Coaches”, screams old man from his couch while watching his team on the field win their 9th game of the season.
“WIN GOODER”, he rants.
Whos ranting now, jerk“Fire 🔥 The Coaches”, screams old man from his couch while watching his team on the field win their 9th game of the season.

I watched a team lose to a 2-9 team at home with a tight end playing quarterback. That is 3 straight losses to 3 bad teams.Reality sucks.“Fire 🔥 The Coaches”, screams old man from his couch while watching his team on the field win their 9th game of the season.

And going where after us Couging it 3 games in a row to shit opponents? Yes we Couged it - textbook definition - 3 games in a row. He’s rumored to be leaving.
I also think Dickert has his hands in what we run. Western Kentucky looked much different. Dickert wants to run so the undisciplined mess he puts on defense doesn’t get chewed up.
I'm never going to understand a failing front 4 on defense when you know the other team is comfortable and attacking. And going where after us Couging it 3 games in a row to shit opponents? Yes we Couged it - textbook definition - 3 games in a row.
And I'll ordain Williams as the Goat of the last 2 games. He fumbles last week, then bobbles the pass at the end that would have gotten us one pass away from FG range.
And yeah F Arbuckle. Did we ever run the ball anywhere other than up the gut?
I totally agree. I also will give credit where credit is due and think Flat and Suddy’s critical comments lately have been spot on.I've got to say that I'm Team Biggs at this point. Dickert needs to fire Arbuckle and Schmedding and if we aren't better soon....he's got to be next. The sad truth is that we needed a lucky stop to beat UW, a pick six to beat Fresno State and a pick against SDSU to keep that game from getting out of hand late. We are three plays away from a 10 game road losing streak and being 6-13 in our last 19 games.
Our 8-4 record is a mirage and we are a bad football with incompetent coaches that are incapable of making adjustments in-game.
This is a 3-9 team at best in a regular P12 conference this season.I've got to say that I'm Team Biggs at this point. I've forced myself to watch about 60 total minutes of Cougar football this season and there's been zero (and I repeat, zero) enjoyment. Bad coaching, bad athletes, bad entertainment.
Genuine kudos to you. You're braver than myself, lol.I've watched almost every miserable minute of this debacle but I get why you would want to skip it.
Same could be said for Erickson , Walden, Price and Leach . How were Leach's adjustments in the 2013 Apple Cup? Price I couldn't tell you how crappy he was in the second half.9th? That he learned a lot about what doesn't work.Same could be said for Erickson , Walden, Price and Leach . How were Leach's adjustments in the 2013 Apple Cup? Price I couldn't tell you how crappy he was in the second half.
If Arbuckle leaves and gets a better gig, what does that tell you?
Leach learned what didn't work? Jimmy Lake laughed and said he just used the previous years game plan ....That he learned a lot about what doesn't work.
always the apologistLeach learned what didn't work? Jimmy Lake laughed and said he just used the previous years game plan ....
It has ti do with the oline. Hard to make adjustments when they cant block. We have had two good years of running the ball. 1988 and 2005.
Other than that we have struggled....and it is because of the Mountajn West players we have always have had to play up front.
Nope simply pointing out Leach never solved the 3 rush 8 drop dilemma. Maybe a TE posting up on a hook zone would help things outalways the apologist

So having a slower athlete running a route would help with an 8 man drop?Nope simply pointing out Leach never solved the 3 rush 8 drop dilemma. Maybe a TE posting up on a hook zone would help things out

Hire Jason Eck. It would be a raiseHearing Utah now and it’s almost done.
They cant run block ...So having a slower athlete running a route would help with an 8 man drop?
As Longtime said running the ball and mixing up your runs is a good start. How about taking a F’ing deep shot too to loosen up the back. I don’t recall one ball over the top when you have the fastest guy on the field by far. Mateer doesn’t throw the greatest deep ball but Kyle Williams racing by you early in the game will make you turn your hips a lot earlier if you’re a DB the rest of the game. Never happened once.
So many examples of coaching malpractice on the offensive side of the ball last night and the same shit we’ve seen game after game.
That’s what an OC that can’t play call says. Seem to remember plenty of times Parker had a good seam to run through. A shit play caller is an OLines worst nightmare. The front 7 has a jump on everything that you’re trying to do and makes it much easier for them to kick your ass. They cant run block ...
Stats for the season. More rush attempts than pass attempts, even if you adjust for sacks. That’s what an OC that can’t play call says. Not enough production from routine plays would be my one sentence summary of the offense.Pretty wild for a team that can’t run block.
One sequence in particular stands out to me. Up 2 scores and getting the ball to start the third against New Mexico. Did whatever you wanted to in the first half offensively. Not enough production from routine plays would be my one sentence summary of the offense.
Yeah that was dumb. Open up the half running until they stop you.One sequence in particular stands out to me. Up 2 scores and getting the ball to start the third against New Mexico. Did whatever you wanted to in the first half offensively.
Pretty effortless 12 yard run from Parker to start. Then you go drop back pass, drop back pass, drop back pass. No play action, no RPO, just three straight drop backs. Why.
I think Arbuckle has a bit of the Leach Kryptonite of “all we have to do is execute and it doesn’t matter what the defense does, we can’t be stopped”. Which may be true in theory except it requires your QB to fit balls through pea sized windows and in game adjustments to create more space goes out the window.
Well, one reason was that Mateer was on fire in the first half. If we got stuffed on three running plays, plenty of people would be complaining about going away from the hot hand. In other words, there is a certainly a trend for posters to complain about plays that don't work. One sequence in particular stands out to me. That's about as true as it can be statedThe issue is that we can no longer get yards when we need them. We'll bust off a nice run and feeling good but when we need two yards....nope.
And for God's sake... it's better to roll outward and run wide when the house is clogged.Yeah that was dumb. Open up the half running until they stop you.
