Looks like from twitter that Nigerian player Abogidi might be on board for 2020. He is a 6-10 Center who is currently at the NBA Global Academy at the Australian Institute of Sport.

He just announced that he is coming to WSU

Still really like Santiago Véscovi from NBA Academy - AIS. Efe Abogiding a bit athletic if this is him..as a 15 year-old:

We need his length and athleticism. I haven't heard of Abogidi but looks like a nice get and compliment to Markovetskyy. I'm sure more to come.

That's Jordanesque. Still have be able to do more than that to be a good BB player.
True. But, his athleticism is a good foundation from which to start. If Smith and his staff are as good of coaches that we think they are, then he could be a very productive player. From what very little that I have read, he has had injury issues. That could be a reason why the Cougars are getting a talented player at a discount.

You dont get to play at the NBA Global Academy, and the Australian Institute of Sport if your not good, if your not talented, freakishly athletic, if your not at least a high mid major to P5 D1 player, and if your not a NBA PROSPECT IN DEVELOPMENT.

MANY, LOTS of those players either go TOP Colleges, and or at least the NBA D league at minimum.

Many, Lots of them PRODUCE in College, NBA D League.

Very few are projects.

WSU is LUCKY to get what is probably such a awesome player.

Either the injuries made it easier to get him, an or Smith is a freaking Awesome recruiter.

The player is the equivalent of a 4.5 star player.

And I wouldnt worry too much about injuries. Players who are as freakishly athletic as him, are at greater risk of injury, because of how the explode, fly around, which can lead to landing awkwardly, injuring feet, ankles, etc.

I suspect the player has more then just Jordan like athleticism. I suspect he has a lunch pail work ethic, rebounds well, dives, scraps for loose balls, might just barely shoot ok from freethrow line, might have good hands.

Also keep in mind that ALL Dennis Rodman had was Jordan like Athleticism, and a Lunch Pail work ethic, and dive, scrap for loose balls.

Also Smith can take that Jordan like athleticism, work ethhic, etc, and develop it, use it.

At worst at 6 foot 10, Shawn Kemp, Jordan Athleticism, he can block shots, rebound, defend the rim, play defense, not get beat off dribble,

And even if he doesnt do that to start, he can, will probably develop into that.

And at WSU that is desperate for BIGS, he will probably play next year, season, as soon as he comes in.

And I predict that he will get about 16 to 30 minutes per game, 1,2,3 blocks per game. 5 to 9 rebounds per game, 4 to 8 loose balls per game, 1 steal, strips, causing loose balls with fast hands per game, 5 to 7 to 9 ppg thru rebound put backs, dunks, fast break, running the floor, clean up garbage points, good defense, etc.

AWESOME GET, AWESOME JOB by Smith.

And Smith cant recruit LMAO at he who shall not be named poster.

Izundu would have been a nice player with some coaching and development.

Both of which were severely lacking during the CEK reign of terror.
Disagree on Izundu.

Only played here one year out of four (Houston 2, SD State 1) and had his best year here.

Izundu can't shoot with a damn - not tall enough or athletic enough to pull that off. Should've played volleyball with that skillset

Kelvin wouldn't have let him transfer from UH when he took over if he saw something there.

Dennis Rodman had Jordan like athleticism? Me thinks somebody never watched the two play!! Dennis Rodman played very hard and had a nose for the ball but he wasn’t an athletic player and not even worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Jordan in that regard. Of course neither should this kid.

Is ALLCAPS at it again? Gotta be the first time I've heard Jordan and Rodman compared athletically.

Jordan, especially early Jordan, had super human quickness and hops. Rodman was a good athlete with a high IQ

Anybody that can take off from behind the freethrow line and dunk the ball at 15 years old is Jordan Athleticism.

Before Michael Jordan dunked from behind the freethrow line, only a small handful of pros, (DR J, 1,2 others), had dunked from behind the freethrow line.

After Jordan, only Shawn Kemp, Brent Barry, 1,2 other pros have done it.

And only a small handful of college players have done it, dunked from behind the freethrow line.

The new 6 foot 10, newest recruit from NBA Academy Australian Institute of Sport, jas a video posted here of him dunking from behind the freethrow line, at 15 years old.

Not even Jordan was able to do that at 15 years old.

Now sure the court might not have bern regulation size. Also in africa it might be easier to jump.

But its still pretty damn impressive Jordan like Athleticism by the kid.

Also like I said, you dont get to play for the OFFICIAL REAL NBA GLOBAL ACADEMY at the Australian Institute of Sport, if your either not either Jordan Like Athletic,(Can dunk from BEHIND THE FREETHROW LINE AT 15 years old, ETC), or if your not talented, etc.

Also just look at the kids pic, he passes the eyeball test, looks Jordan Like Athletic.

Also being able to palm 2 basketballs simultaneously like he is in picture.

The videos, pics, facts, say it all.

The kid is Jordan like athletic, period, fact.

If in your world a kid from the Australian Institute of Sport deserves to be mentioned athletically with Jordan then who am I to argue.

That's Jordanesque. Still have be able to do more than that to be a good BB player.

Careful, I know that Jordan has done the same exact thing, as the kid, dunking from BEHIND the freethrow line, when he was in the NBA.

And altho Jordan wasnt able to dunk from behind the freethrow line, as a 15 year old as a kid, like the kid.

And I know that only DR J, Brent Barry, etc, a small handful are the only ones beside this kid that has dunked from behind the freethrow line.

But even tho that's the case, that doesnt mean the kid is Jordan esque, Jordan like athletic.

So better be careful saying that the same as I did.

Or you might get somebody saying the kid isnt Jordan Athletic to you.

Its interesting. You say it, and nobody blinks an eye.

I say it, the same as you, and I get it said to me that the kid is not Jordan esque, not Jordan Athletic.

Oh thats right I forgot everybody is dunking from behind the freethrow line, and that such a feat is not Jordan Esque, Not Jordan Like Athleticism.

As Spock would say:

Illogical

Does not compute.

Huh? Please explain.

Glad Cougar

There are places in africa where the air, etc, makes it easier to breathe, run, jump, etc.

That is part of why Kenyan's can be such great long distance marathon runners, that win marathons, and are long jumpers in Olympics, Track and field.

Now I am not sure if Nigeria is like Kenya, etc, or not, that is why I said it might be easier to jump.

Thats what I meant.

The kid might have been semi aided a little tiny bit by the weather, air, where he lived in Nigeria, etc, and by the court size(maybe it wasnt a regulation court), to be able to dunk from behind the freethrow line at 15 years of age.

Still pretty damn impressive, and Jordan Esque Like Athleticism.

Thats what I meant.
