Coaching departures/hires can be tough on recruiting, especially when the new guy isn't announced until late December.

Gotta think with CJR stating it's a priority, WSU will make a strong move in-state beginning with the 2026 class

It's also important to the bottom line. In-state tuition/scholarships are obviously less costly than out of state.

The continued lack of Eastern Washington & North Idaho true D1 & 1-AA talent year-in-year out hurts WSU.

1 GSL lineman (2A West Valley Kid) is getting his school paid for by Montana next year (he’s a project) & no North Idaho kid signed at the 1-AA level or higher.

Biggins was on with Ian @KJR today. I’m sure you can listed to a podcast version off the free IHeart radio app.

- Rogers QB is better than the QB who followed Dickert.

- we got a good lineman over BSU and others.

- Rogers hit over 100 high schools in Washington during January and was well received. 2026 is supposed to be a good class for HS talent.

- the overall talent that came from SDSU are generally better than the HS talent that followed Dickert

All I remember from what I heard

Well….here’s my cynical response:

Great, we’ve got a QB who’s never played a down that’s better than another QB who’s never played a down.

Cool. One lineman. We’re saved.

Great, someone greeted him at a bunch of high schools. A really good year in Washington high school football doesn’t even field a starting D1 team.

The talent that came from a small college is better than talent that came from high school. Awesome… but is that really something to be excited about?

None of that makes me want to buy tickets…or even renew Sling.

Then don’t. If you’re disappointed and done with the team just be done. I had been pretty down on them too towards Dickerts end. Didn’t watch New Mexico, Oregon State, or Wyoming. And I’m glad I didn’t. Seriously, if it’s not fun and just disappointing or stressful bail for a while.

I heard 1.5 minutes of a longer broadcast from one of Americas top recruiting experts, on a recruiting show hosted by arguably WSU’s top sports broadcaster today, ON signing day. I posted it FOR you while I was driving in real time, so you can hear this timely information from a NATIONAL RECRUITING EXPERT >>> on<<< signing day, in realtime.

I wonder how many NATIONAL recruiting experts mentioned WSU at all today? Anywhere? One?

I gave you exactly THREE partial points he made and referenced how you can listen to the entire broadcast for free.

Rather than listen to the FREE broadcast, you chose instead to be a jakkass.

Congratulations.

Now you know what it’s like to read anything you post

We need a culture of passionate fans. Waving the flag in defeat pretty much is the end of Cougar athletics as we all knew it. I think we all sense that the ship is pointed to the Wulff years with McCoy at the helm and there is nothing we can do but complain. I hope I’m wrong too.

By the way, it was Brandon Huffman, not Greg Biggins on Ian's show.

For something even better, here is the press conference with Coach Rogers discussing the players signed today.

By now, haven’t you learned to trust the experts?
