I don't understand this at all. He is nothing but smarm and backhanded compliments. To me he is the epitome of everything I hate about UWers.
Yes, last weeks crew of Pasch and McElroy sucked. They spent waaaaay too much time talking about the playoffs and Natty. Not enough time talking about our game and it’s players.

Huard is does a decent job and tries to be fair. There are WAY worse announcers out there. He'll be fair to WSU, I think.
He works at being "fair". I'll give him that. But that's all I'll give him. He's a Husky. Nuff said.
He did throw five passes to our defenders in the 1997 Apple Cup, which I thought was pretty awesome.
And when I've heard him talk about that game he's been very complimentary of the Cougs. He's always said the best team won that day and that we deserved to go to the Rose Bowl.
He's longtime friend of the Pelluer family, so he get's some points. Also, he's one of the better commentators out there.
