Haven't heard anything lately on him. Do we even have a spot left if he wants t come back? The article I found (below) lists him way down out of the top 100, far enough down that I don't think there is any reasonable expectation of him catching on post-draft, certainly not in this country.

And the talk of Europe (or wherever internationally)? I saw a few months ago that Taylor Rochestie made the top 15 in salary in Europe's top league - at a little over $1 million/year. That tells me that your average decent player isn't going to make much over there.

Still have room if I count right, but when did he have to withdraw his name. Seems like there was more involved than just not hiring agent

It’s been 5 or six years now but I had read where Thomas Ketati was one of the higher payed players in Europe at about 1.3 million. Dickau went to Russia for like 1.2 one year and I believe Morrison got just under a million. Players can make a nice living even in the mid to low level leagues. I know several guys who have made six figures plus a car and apartment even in Japan. David Vik was pulling down 200 to 300 thousand ten years ago not bad I’d say. The biggest concern with the lower leagues is the teams often fold and it’s really hard or impossible to get your money

The withdrawal date for the NBA draft is June 11. (Much later than in the past). I believe that Franks was supposed to have a few individual workouts for some NBA teams. He should get some input from those.

We still have one spot left to give so Franks can return. I don't know whether Franks has more NBA potential than Hawkinson a few years ago or Motum a few more years back. Motum made a run in summer league but wasn't able to stick with Utah and it looks like he's playing in Turkey most recently.

Maybe Franks is fine with the G-League but can definitely make a living overseas. Hopefully the additions will make it more attractive to him to come back.

I think Franks can make a good living overseas. The question is does he have incentive to delay that for another year. Things are starting to come out that Flynn wasnt just concerned about lack of player development, but was disappointed in the almost total lack of fan support. Not defending or criticizing this, just saying it appears to be a factor in his departure.

It wouldn't surprise me if attendance was a significant contributing factor in Franks and Flynn departing. There were games where we probably wouldn't fill Bohler gym. Winning would solve a lot of the issue but a lot easier said than done.

Just for fun I looked up SDSU's attendance figures. According to their media guide, they have damn near sold out their 12,414 seat arena for the last 6 years. Going 14-1, 15-1, etc couldn't have hurt. Although I have to sort of question those figures. They sold every single seat for every game for 3 straight years? In any event, yeah, lots of fans. That happens when you win. And WSU is at such a disadvantage even when they do win. early games against Southwesteastnorth Tech Poly State, games during Xmas break, Pullman, WA in the middle of the winter, etc. doesn't help. But in the Tony years we filled the place. "Cuz we won. Win, win, win.
SDSU Attendance:
2009-10 108,412 7,227
2010-11 175,027 11,668
2011-12 229,820 12,096
2012-13 186,210 12,414
2013-14 198,624 12,414
2014-15 211,038 12,414
2015-16 244,190 12,210
2016-17 170,142 12,196

Or it could just be good deflection on Flynn's part.

Flynn got benched by Kent for the UA game.

Ibf I remember right Flynn still played over 20 minutes in that game he got benched

That would be nice. The fact it had been updated for the recent signees is a good dign

That he did. But he didn't play well (nor did entire team vs UA).
If you think you are best player on the team and get benched, you're not too happy. But the reasons for the benching weren't announced.

Bone benched Klay for being late because he lost his I-phone - which is something Red Auerbach never would have done (don't have team rules that your best player can't follow).
Nobody knows what really goes on within teams except the people involved
