Monday's chat went pretty well, so I'm going to do another one here until about noon today. Drop your questions on WSU here and I'll get to them when I can.

Any hints about scheme changes or position changes with Grinch coming on board?

Do you think resources are wasted trying to land guys like Marcus Lewis/ tim settle? Cross country big prospects who seem to flirt but when it comes commitment time, it seems we weren't really ever considered?

No. I think it shows other recruits that are considering WSU, especially in today's social media landscape, that there's something going on in Pullman and a lot of top prospects are checking it out. Washington State was 100% in on Lewis for a long time. They recruited him for almost a year, so they got a pretty good idea of where he stood and his interest level.

If they legitimately thought they had zero chance, they're not going to continue to pursue it. This is really the only time that I've covered or followed WSU that they've been in on, and have recruited, big time prospects from the East Coast, so it's a small sample size. I think there's more benefits to recruiting nationally than there aren't. If they win, you'll see them start landing a couple.

Really nothing different than what's already been put out there. I expect it to be similar to the previous defense. I think you'll still see them utilize a BUCK-type player still, though I'm sure the terminology will be different.

What's your opinion on Burnett, is he gone?
Heading into the visit, I thought he would stick with Washington State. Now, how that visit goes is a different story. My gut says he sticks, but it wouldn't be shocking if he flips. How's that for a non-answer?

What's the scoop on Mr. Simmons?
According to that blog report, which hasn't been confirmed by anyone, nor myself, he interviewed with Oklahoma last week. Sounds, to me, like it could be a leverage situation, if true. There's A LOT of familiarity there, as new Sooners OC Lincoln Riley and Simmons worked together at East Carolina and Texas Tech. Other than that, haven't heard much of anything.

The "late visitor" invites for this weekend- are those guys to backfill defections, or guys there'd actually be room for?

I think they'd make room for Oguayo but the others are certainly backfills in case some guys flip. Jonah Moi shouldn't be considered a Washington State commit at this point, so Oguayo could fill that roll. I have a bunch of info on Oguayo in the War Room with quotes.

Will there be any guys this year that sign and are a surprise? Usually there is one that no one hears about...

In the past, there were certainly surprises. If there's surprise Wednesday, I'm not doing my job well enough. With social media and the increased media focus on recruiting, it's rare. Outside maybe a couple names, I don't expect there to be many surprises. If there's a bunch of flips, you could see them holding off and taking a couple JUCO guys down the line.

Are you a politician?!
Well, I did just started watching House of Cards, and the Roger Goodell press conference is on in the background.
A friend of my mine who lives in Colorado, she talked me into watching House of Cards last summer. It was very good and Kevin Spacey is a great actor. Looking forward to watching the 3rd season in February.

I agree with you. It is not a waste to target specific players. You have to starts somewhere and we have seen every recruiting class get better under Leach. There will be the first domino that falls. Then we will see another. When, I don't know, but I think it will happen.

I'm ashamed to say that I binge-watched the first two seasons this week. Started Sunday and finished last night.

It definitely is addicting. I limited myself to two a day until I finished. But, I very easily could have watched it like you did. Looking forward to see what he will do as President.

I wonder if they have the timing incorrect? What is the possibility that Simmons interviewed, but for the OC position before Lincoln Riley ultimately was hired for the role?

That could be the case, however their report said Simmons interviewed last week, while Riley was hired two weeks ago.

That is why I was wondering if they have the timing incorrect? Reports have been wrong before, especially since it appears this is the only place reporting the interview occurred. I guess we will find out in time. Not going to worry about it now.
