2019 SF Gary Harris Jr. visiting this weekend. He visited Sienna for his first visit and has a scheduled visit to K-State as well.

Getting Harris Jr. would give WSU a pretty impressive group of freshmen coming in this first year: Noah Williams, DJ Rodman, Ryan Rapp, and Volodymyr Markovetskyy. Of course, it remains to be seen how well the group actually plays but I like the potential....and I also like that the class would have a good number of freshmen. More time to be developed, assuming they stay at WSU.

Odd is probably kind. I think one of the sites called it "quirky". He's a good athlete and seems to have skill with the ball. Needs work on his shooting.

If it comes down to Harris Jr or Kemp, which one would be better for the Cougs? And by the way, what happened to that kid from Utah that had been offered earlier? He was the state's leading scorer I believe.

I have wondered the same because they look similar in a lot of ways. Both are athletic, seem physical, but need work on shooting. Based on offers Harris, Jr. has K-State and Nebraska. Kemp's only other offer looks like Montana. Kemp apparently had qualifying issues so maybe that changes and he gets more looks? I see some of Shawn Kemp in Jamon which is good but maybe not so good at the same time. Pops has about 5 or 6 inches on Jamon.

Both players look like good gets at this point especially with Cannon moving on. Not that either would replace Cannon but similar players and hopefully upside down the road.

Kemp appears to be with CJ as well as Noah so I would guess you take them both!

Yeah based on Jamon's Retweet of WSU tweet about NBA Dad's day with Williams, Rodman, Kemp, and with Jamon having a great official visit, and based on Jamon's pic with CJ, Noah, and based on Smith's staff, assistant Shaw's connection with seattle, portland, etc, altho Jamon hasn't verballed officially yet, its probably just a matter of time and almost pretty much a done deal.

Would be a little shocked if Jamon didnt commit, and sign now.

Yes take them both if have to. But I would rather go with Jamon Kemp, tap the in state Beach HS pipeline, and then save the last scholly for either the 7 footer from Germany, or Nigel John or some other big, or some Pure PG, because if take both Jamon and Gary, would have tooo many 6 foot 6 inch G/F wings and maybe not enough BIGS, and lack of a PURE PG.

Well Kemp and hopefully Post, or another big, or a Pure PG, or maybe Nigel John, or Wade Cannon comes back, or probably most likely bank the 1 last scholarship for next year, if not get Post.

I wanted Harris over Kemp but I’ll still be very happy to get Kemp. The big German would be awesome but I feel like that’s a long shot.

Post is the big get because of position and his upside. I probably preferred Harris, Jr. but Kemp checks a lot of boxes as well.

There’s still a lot of time and players looking for homes.
