Much as I despise Brand X, they come up with some pretty good shit. The linked articles within this article are great reads too. I was a student during many of the Raveling years. Was there for the UCLA win and Pollard's backboard shattering, among others. I loved how he would stand up and raise his arms and often full student sections would go nuts. Met George once at some ceremony (his Hall of Fame induction maybe?). What a class act. I met him and he called me "sir". I'm like uh, no, I call YOU sir. Still a great ambassador for our Cougs.
