I had not really been following this. Did they pull the plug? Did we balk at this 2 for 1 scheduling (hope so)?

Regardless, this is pretty stupid on Gonzaga's part. It is a sellout wherever it is played, so the money has to be there. We are a Pac-12 school, and we hopefully are on the way up. So WTH?

It's been out there for some time with both Moos and Kent indicating Gonzaga will not continue the series. It still relevant from a regional standpoint and a game both Cougar and Zag fans obviously demand. It sells out in K2 and GU fans make the trip down to Pullman to see the game as well. Few feels it's an RPI hit and it probably is most years but really it has more to do with GU getting the series back with the UW.

At the end of the day they are doing to us what we did to them under Sampson and the UW did to them as well. That's how these things go. It's about the coaches and really not about the fans. The fans want to play the game.

If the cougs beat the Zags, the seies will continue. Few wants to play quality opponents. The cougs kept their last incompetent coach two years too many.
