Grinch declines chance to interview

The offensive coordinator for Wulff (Todd Sturdy) coached at MidAmerica Nazerene in 2019 where one of his wins was by 5 points over Graceland University (no word if Elvis played).

Paul Wulff was replaced in 2019 at Sac State by a local high school coach.

Since leaving WSU he has held 6 jobs - same number of Pac12 wins he had at WSU.
I honestly don’t know this, because I don’t pay attention to FCS football. How the hell did he win at Eastern?? Any spokaners who know something about that program have an explanation?

I like Leach but he would not have even sniffed a Bowl for 3 years had he taken over the team the same time Wulff did. He barely took us to a bowl during his first 3 year and 2 of those were 3-win seasons. I guess none of this matters anymore.

Two diff situations, both lousy. You are comparing turd burgers and shit sandwiches. They both suck.

I'm just curious.....did you actually take the time to track down Todd Sturdy on the internet to come up with that ditty or are you an ardent follower of MidAmerica Nazarene?

Google machine. His current school will only be spot he can be found.
When the current sob sisters who miss Wulff used to beat their chests ten years ago over what a good staff they had , decided to look into Sturdy's career.

Wulff was an OC at Eastern longer than Sturdy was (2007 season only) but this was the best he could hire - a guy with no FBS/BCS/Division I-A experience who oh by the way was Jody Sears & Timm Rosenbach's old boss in Davenport, Iowa for the NAIA St. Ambrose Fighting Bees. (Together The Dream Team had St. Ambrose's last losing season through 2011)

Eh I’m not sure about that. I’ll give you an example (NFL but still FB). Josh McDaniels. Leaves NE as OC to coach in Denver, fails miserably, gets fired, goes back to NE as OC (probably gets a raise) takes Indy job, then pusses out and doesn’t take it, goes back to NE. Now supposedly he’s the hottest thing on the HC market again. If you’re good at what you do there’s always a job for you. If you are early enough in your coaching career there’s always another chance.

WSU has its challenges but if you as a candidate are afraid of failure that’s a you problem. There plenty to sell at WSU for the coach who does it right.
Josh McDaniels is only still relevant because he could go back to Bill. Being with Bill for enough years after Denver and that stink gets washed off. If Bill doesn't take him back. He's a career coordinator
