Eh I’m not sure about that. I’ll give you an example (NFL but still FB). Josh McDaniels. Leaves NE as OC to coach in Denver, fails miserably, gets fired, goes back to NE as OC (probably gets a raise) takes Indy job, then pusses out and doesn’t take it, goes back to NE. Now supposedly he’s the hottest thing on the HC market again. If you’re good at what you do there’s always a job for you. If you are early enough in your coaching career there’s always another chance.
WSU has its challenges but if you as a candidate are afraid of failure that’s a you problem. There plenty to sell at WSU for the coach who does it right.
