Since the NCAA, athletes, boosters, attorneys, networks, administrators, parents, aunts and uncles, and Porky Pig have managed to completely **** up what was once the beautiful thing that was amateur college athletics, have we reached the absolute point of insanity where there are no more rules? If a guy loves playing football so much but knows he isn't good enough to make it in the pros, what is to stop him from just keeping playing-maybe even 8-10 years while earning extra degrees? What if a guy goes to college but just never goes to class and has a 0.00 GPA like Blutarski? So what? Since the players are now getting paid, what is to stop someone from coming back to college and playing again after 2-3 years in the pros as a sub?

Perhaps we are so far gone in college athletics that we will have to ask US Congress to attempt a fix. Good Lord, I shivered even thinking about such a cluster, but how else is it going to get under control. Or have Trump assign it to Vivek and it will get done in 2 days.

I am seriously sick in my heart at what has happened to college athletics. :-(

NCAA is the same oligarchy that is played out across the country across varied industries, but instead of being behind the scenes and insidious in a sneaky way it flies in the faces of everyone who continues to pump money into that system like a bunch of chumps.

Stop giving them your money.

Again, the Vanderbilt case in the courts is expected to give the player a year 7 and 8.

Some are speculating the NCAA will have a hard roster cap and no limit on eligibility. (Canzano, maybe?)

Private equity entering, gambling expanding, bowl games turned into a battle between logos with God knows what coaches, players will bother to show up.

Welcome to the return of serfdom. It's happening.

Yes, this is where we are. Yes, CFP is completely screwed up.

No, Congress should not touch it. No government agency should spend their time - or our money - on college sports.
Yes. Congress will certainly make it worse....like government ALWAYS does.
