Hey Flatland!

When I was in college, I briefly owned a 1979 Camaro with a three speed manual. It was kind of fun but late 70's model car so ridiculously underpowered. The spacing between the gears was laughable and I felt like I was driving a truck shifting that thing.
Thats how my first car was. A 1981 Mercury Capri with a straight 6 and a 4sp manual. Shifting that thing was like trying to lift Bigg's mother, painfully burdensome.

I will just note that this has been a pleasant thread to follow; a bit of a departure from the recent miserable news. Thanks, guys!

Are we measuring d!cks? I mean flashing our toys? I say whip'em out! Let's see what people are working with

Just for fun.....the worst car that I've ever owned was a 1975 Chevrolet Vega. I totaled it on black ice when I was a junior in high school. Followed that up with a 1977 Vega kammback wagon with a blown engine that we got for $200. Put the engine and transmission from the 1975 Vega into the wagon. Had to make an osb wood cover for the transmission tunnel to cover the hole where the automatic transmission shifter was at. Fancy!

A Ford Escort (but the GT, mind you, and in a nice dark red that was about as close to Pantone 69w as you can get, lest you not appreciate what a fine machine it was) was my first car. Was actually pretty fun since that thing had a stick.

1965 Simca 1000 was my first car
My dad had a Simca; early 70's; I think it was an 1100. I don't recall if it was a hatchback or just a contoured back end (wasn't the vertical flat rear surface). It was our first front wheel drive. Loved it in the snow.

1100 or 1204, they were front wheel drive, my 1000 was rear engine

Ok so I'm in lot 310, wherever the F that is. Probably a ways away, I got a cheap permit. Red Chevy Silverado, Lance camper on top.

If we don't connect pregame, I'm in the nosebleed section 203, row 29, seat 10

I haven't been to an away game in many, many years. Just hope my old truck will get me there from Washington without blowing something out. 175,000 miles, and barely stout enough to handle my camper. Leap of faith.

You make it to Fort Collins yet or is that tomorrow? If we get there early enough, I’ll try to swing by Lot 310 but I’m betting that I’ll have to find you during the game.
