Hilinski and Falk

I'm sure everyone saw Hilinksi moved up to being the number 9 rated pro-style QA in the nation. What are the odds he wins the starting job for 2015?


I'm pretty pleased with our QB options next year.

I'm pretty pleased with our QB options next year.

If he's infinitely better than Falk or Bender, then yes, the best guy will play. But from all accounts I have heard Bender is pushing Falk, so my best guess is it will be one of those two guys.

if Falk is healthy, Falk will start the season, IMO. a red shirt year would be a blessing for Hilinski unless he is the legit #2 coming out of camp.

Leach won't name a starter until the fall...

He can't afford another Bruggman, and if you don't announce until the fall they reduce the chance of that happening.

I agree, putting a red shirt on Hilinski would be very valuable. I didn't know Bender was so close to Falk. I mean, I assumed he'd was good but that's really great to hear.

Ed, Falk IS the starter... everybody knows this. While it's always up to the starters to improve and hold the position, the fact is, he was #2 going in to games, became #1 the moment he went in and to date, has fended off Bender... who has looked good on Thursday nights but, c'mon... it's Thursday night football and he's competing there for a reason.

To me, Hilinski looks somewhat like Halliday did when he arrived at WSU. He looks thin and it might benefit him to put a year or two in the weight room before he sees the field.
