Hot off the press...

Nice late addition even without knowing who else was after him. Looks like he has impressive wingspan and relatively quick for his length. Givony says "He's an excellent defender...". I like that on it's own.

Saw mention in a search that 2 years ago when he was listed at 6'4" his wingspan was 6'9". No idea on the quality but a Euro ranking from this summer viewed him as a "secondary PG" at this point. Seems to have PG mentality perhaps long-term. Long-range shooting still developing.

>11. Kymany Houinsou: 6’6, Combo Gard, France, 2004 Born

It was a challenging tournament for Houinsou as he was the primary point guard on the team where he is probably best suited to be the secondary point guard. There seemed to be confusion and chemistry issues with him and Rupert at various points in the tournament but he did help lead France to a 6-1 record. He is long and athletic at 6’6 for a combo guard. He can finish plays with a dunk and had nearly a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio while he was second in assists for the tournament. At 10 ppg, he shot over 52% from the field despite having trouble from 3 (29.4%) A good free throw shooter at 81.3%, he can be effective as the guard in pick and roll action. Needs to get stronger and has a hard time running a team outside of pick and roll actions. Perhaps it is his lack of strength or confidence in his handles but was easily moved out towards mid court and had difficulties running the offense in half court sets. This season he will be playing for ASVEL in France.

In watching the video, he reminds me of former Blazer Clyde Drexler. He is not a finished product in the half court, but he looks good on the break. This is an excellent pickup, especially this late.

He's a lot of arms and legs. He has some "Glide" in him for sure.

Watching Houinsou's full game against Italy, his offense reminded me a bit of Marcus Moore. His levers are hard to compare though. On another note, Hamon-Crespin struggled in this one.

Not really sure all the covid rules on scholarship numbers but I assume we have the room vs loosing someone. Anyway seems like a solid prospect with potential upside. Don’t see him helping much this year but a three position player can always develop down the road.
Is he possibly a walk-on?
I can see the Clyde comparison but less explosive at this point but dribbling definitely see it

I have no way of knowing but seriously would doubt he's paying his own way. We had one left to give as well.
