How many of you were up for the bowl game?

Frankly after another bad Apple Cup loss the season was essentially over for me at that point. I was emotionally spent. It was tough in 2001-2003 to get up for bowl games after the AC, even though those games were competitive, but getting "run" back to back to back just left me completely bowl ambivalent.

Dare I say 3-7-1, but knocking the Dawgs out of the Rose Bowl, is far better than a second tier bowl trying to pretend that an Apple Cup blowout didn't happen.

I had a bad feeling about the game going in but was hoping that Michigan State was going to be more like Stanford than UW. Obviously a terrible matchup for us. I will say that even though San Diego is a fine place to go in late December, I don't plan on coming back anytime soon. I don't imagine that we will be getting an invite for a few years at this point.

The cougs will not be invited back as long as Leach is coach. A blowout win does not do anyone any good.
