I’m flipping, keep Rolo.

Please elaborate why on each coach.

Sunny, Bendenbaugh, Norvell, Holgo all of the Leach and run a different version of the air raid, but we have the personnel for it. Deboer great play caller, was fantastic as OC in Indiana. Clawson has been solid at Wake, a very tough place win at. Was successful at Bowling Green. He brings P5 HC experience and is only make like $2.2M there.

If that is the case, I wonder why all of the African American players seem to like him and are playing their hearts out.

Your argument that he is a civil rights liability doesn't hold water.

If he can't recruit, that's a whole other argument. Winning will solve that if that is indeed the case.
Pretty simple, they have gotten to know the man, and the person, over an extended period of time! A luxury recruits don't have before picking a school. Don't kill the messenger. Rule #1 in recruiting is don't become a defendant is a federal civil rights lawsuit over social justice issues, if you want to sign the best available black kids. If you don't think it will have a deleterious effect on recruiting, please explain, not merely conclude, or accept Rolo has a major problem of his own making!

You know I right on this one.

Not to mention what’s the alternative if he can’t get on a plane.

Holgorsen isnt leaving Houston.
Clawson isnt leaving the East Coast. He could see WSU as a lateral move.
Asst coaches with 0 HC experience? Pass. They can go learn somewhere else.
Deboer is a good coach. Someone is gonna hire him.

The personnel has changed over. A lot of the AR receivers are gone. Likely both MB and DM are gone. The OL is gonna lose some starters and who knows who is left that can play with wide splits. Unless JDL can be more accurate, he is not ready to be throwing the ball 50 times per game. 55% passing yesterday, 62% on the season isn’t gonna get it done.

No..I don't think the Kassidy Wood thing will hurt recruiting. Sorry..but I don't view it as a major civil rights issue. If it were, there would be a lot of players protesting now.

Delta never had a mandate. They encouraged everyone to get vaccinated and charged everyone an extra $200 per month for health insurance that wasn’t. They are at 90% vaccination rate currently. They are ignoring the federal mandate (for now) requiring companies who are contractors of federal agencies to be vaccinated or test weekly.
so... did they have a mandate or not? or are you just being pedantic so you can say something that makes you sound like you're "right"?

oh look, Biggs is saying the opposite of what someone's else said, who could have predicted that?

He was correct on the Spokane Valley vs. Spokane City FD. Not enough coffee at the time of the original post.

But there was no mandate from Delta. The Biden Administration tried to "OSHA-scare" a mandate through. That process takes almost a year, I believe.

Delta's CEO was the poster boy for vaccinations - until he wasn't which coincidentally was just after SWA's pilots ground them to a halt by collectively calling in sick.

Anybody notice the Boeing workers getting geared up to walk? Or did I just imagine that twitter post?

he was playing stupid to make a "point". He knew OP was referring to the federal OSHA mandate that most large corporations are kowtowing to.

They were kowtowing because it was easy - until they saw the SWA pushback and numerous other things going on around the country and the globe.

Massive protests related to mandated vaccinations in Italy today closed down all the ports around the country .

Wrong.

Other airlines have instituted their own mandates (United) prior to any federal mandates along with many other companies. Delta never mandated vaccination at that time but encouraged it by charging their employees an extra $200/month for heath insurance but were still able to get to a 90% vaccination rate. Personally I think that was a fair and reasonable approach to take and wish more business would go that route just like they charge more for life insurance if you smoke. Between sick leave and hospitalizations (including death) my company is well over $300/month per employee in Covid costs.

They’ll have to deal with the mandate for federal contractors which they are considered to be (flying Federal personnel, supplies, military etc. around) before they have to deal with the OSHA ETS. For now, it looks like they aren’t going to deal with the Federal contractor mandate. Not sure how big of a % of their business that is but it will be interesting to watch what they do if the feds pull significant business away from them.

From what we are hearing from our industry association, the OSHA mandate is not months away like originally thought but could be ready for public consumption as early as this week. That will get interesting. Their‘s no way they will able to enforce and audit that but will be relying on whistleblowers to point them to the bad actors and will then go in an investigate with some rather large fines from what it sounds like. If they (or any business) publicly say they aren’t complying with that mandate, that could get ugly.

One thing America had better smarten up about is enforcing mandates on all immigrants, homeless, and anyone drawing welfare. If you’re going to hold taxpayers feet to the fire on this, you had better firm up enforcement on the bottom 1/3 as well. You want a check? You have to be vaccinated.
That's not very compassionate or caring.

Accountability? C'mon, man.

You've been around the past 18 months (not to mention the past 15 years or so), right? This won't happen.

This team obviously loves him. He’s a very good coach capable of making adjustments. What an absolute shame that the world has changed so much that we are willing to fire him because he won’t take a shot. Do you people hear yourselves? Has the world really gone to hell in a short 18 months? This is a such a joke. History books will be written about these overreactions. The rest of the country is rushing the field and selling out stadiums and cases are plummeting. Normalcy. Meanwhile we are still afraid to leave our caves. Sad.

"We" aren't.

Do you think companies should charge their employees for BMIs >25 too? How about charging for not exercising regularly? The list goes on and on...

My company charges $100 extra per pay period for insurance for smokers. Weird that nobody has been protesting in the streets over those “mandates”.

I wish that things didn’t play out this way. We all know that Cal, OSU and Stanford are flawed teams that are not likely to look great as resume building wins….but we went 3-0 against them and Rolovich deserves a hell of a lot of credit for that. I wish that he hadn’t stuck to his guns.

It sucks and I hope that JDL and the other leaders of the team all work together to win games. Hell, get ”Let’s Roll” tattoos in protest if they want. I hope that as things go on, they realize that WSU is a great college to be at regardless of the head coach.

If they were going to be consistent they'd charge for overweight workers too.

They pick on smokers because that is easy.

They are consistent. Most companies are giving wellness credits on health benefit premiums for nutrition, wellness checks, being active, etc. These are pretty standard build-ins to company benefit offerings these days.

Very limited relative to the negative impact of being overweight. Let's remember that covid deaths have been about the old and the overweight (and the comorbitities that come with that condition).

I’m not arguing that, just stating that companies don’t simply ignore obesity and rail on smokers only. Many smokers also have diet issues as well which exacerbate the smoking risk…they aren’t mutually exclusive, and everything is taken into consideration with the amount of money organizations are spending on employee benefits these days. Company premiums increasing like college tuition is they’d be stupid not to consider all health risks.

Not only that, but do you know how easy it is to receive those wellness benefits? If I can get 10k steps out of my fitness tracking watch by riding my Harley a few miles down the street, then ole fatty can put that same watch on the tail of his/her dog and watch them wag their way to 10k plus steps daily.

My company requires that we enroll in a wellness program and earn 150 points or we have to pay extra for our health insurance. I make another $450-600 per year by exercising, reading and volunteering and I get another $300 per year because they cover half of my gym membership.

Some companies do punish/reward based on wellness.

I don't think they ignore obesity. My point is that the impact vs the attention is nothing like smoking or other bad health habits.

The 150 points is easy to get, but you can’t get them by doing anything stupid. You have to get biometric scans and meet with our wellness staff to take measurements and discuss healthy choices. They don’t really force people to lose weight but they do more than pay lip service to it.

I don't know what company you work for but GD they seem like the Gestapo by going to those measures. We just have to log the steps, answer some "wellness" questions and track extra curricular activities like going to the gym and what not. But because I work out as much as I do, most of that is not even necessary for me as I'm consistently in the 15k-20k/day range.

It’s still easy to get the points and nobody really cares. They don’t fire people for being overweight and they don’t shame people publicly. I would prefer covid vaccine “mandates” that feel more like our wellness program. Well trained staff that encourage good behavior but don’t alienate people.

This should be the approach. Its sad that it isn't.
