Trebek passes away at 80 today. Long, tough battle with cancer. RIP...enjoyed his style.

One of my favorites over the many years.

Seemed like a part of the family.

RIP

His son played mine in HS baseball. It was weird seeing him in the stands, after watching him most evenings for 30+ years after the news. We'll see how Ken Jennings does. I hope he keeps Jeopardy alive. RIP, Alex.

Who could possibly replace him? Might need to consider a woman just to deflect unfair comparisons. That phrasing sounds more cringworthy than intended. Hope you get my meaning. That's all I have to say about that.

When I was at WSU, KXLY showed Jeopardy a day earlier than KOMO in Seattle. The first day back home during thanksgiving break I sat down to watch the show with my parents, having already seen the episode, and had my parents convinced college was really paying off.

To this day Jeopardy is still an all time favorite drinking game.

RIP Alex.

I’m sure l they’ll find someone capable. I watched it with Art Fleming who I thought was good and also had seen Trebek host some not so good gameshows and didn’t really have a high opinion of him before he took on Jeopardy. It was an adjustment seeing him on Jeopardy at first but obviously the rest is history as Trebek became the man.

Regarding the title of this thread, I saw a picture of a burning port-a-potty with the label "If 2020 were a scented candle". Pretty well summed up my feeling about this year too.
