....like Leach, he's sueing his former employer.

Ernie Kent, will probably get another year, but it's clear he just ain't getting it done.

Given the record it is hard to argue with this but in some ways I think they do look better. My son and I went to the game last night. For the first 15 minutes I thought we played very well on offense. Moving the ball--getting open looks. Then the shots stopped falling and UW went on a 3 point barrage and a good game turned into a blow out. I don't know the solution to not having these periods every game when the offense disappears. In some ways they look pretty well coached but then things fall apart.

The team is ready to take a big step forward next year. However, the recruiting of potential big men is not happening. The cougs will need a graduate transfer next year to become a better team. The signing of Elleby was a good one and Haskins and Seltzer are to be credited. He is averaging 22 pts and 12 rbs per game this year. He has a strong all around game and prides himself on his defense. He may start next year at the number 3 position. But the cougs need help inside for next year..

I am optimistic about the Cougar Basketball in 2018-19 as well.

Looks like Robert Franks is climbing up the NBA draft charts.

I think this team could be on the verge of some big things under CEK.

It takes patience, but Ernie has done it before.

I agree a big man is needed next year who can have an instant impact, I’m not sure if that’s possible any other way than a graduate transfer. We have basically 3 back next year. Pollard has had his moments but in general I’ve been disappointed in his play thus far, Chidom has potential but I doubt he’ll be much more than a back up next year and Cooper big body but nothing else, I didn’t have high expectations but I thought he would be more than a waste of scholarship which thus far he is.

I agree with your analysis . I do not see any real viable big men left who can impact a program. Cooper .so far,has just taken up bench space.I thought that he might get minutes as a rim protector.Chidom seemingly spent last summer working on his skill set. What he needs to do is spend his time weight lifting and working on his conditioning

We don't need a big so much as we need a strong quick athlete or two who can put a body on someone defensively, and finish through contact at the rim. Lots of skill but too much finesse with this group.

Yeah but these guys better be 6-8 to 6'9 in the 230 range. That is what i mean by a big man. I would still take a chance on 7' 4 Riley Sorn. He has potential and would be a better "risk" than someone like Cooper. They will probably have about 3 scholarships to give out when it is all said and done.

Kent will be with us another 2 or 3 years. Unfortunate but true. No more JC bigs as there ability to recruit quality is zero.
