Never trashed Moos for the Leach hire. Was completely wait and see.
Ernie buddy hire, nepotism, massive debts and deficits, no bowl ticket spite list, alienating a decent chunk of Coug nation with a sh*t doesn’t stink attitude, never donating a penny...yup. Without a doubt.
Crimson matches. That’s good.
1510’ish. Laser pointer. Round and round.
No Bowl spite list is deserved bet they feel stupid now with 5 bowls in 7 years and one of the most successful spans in our history.
Deficit and debt? What? People have to borrow money in order to build things they don’t have because of incompetence like Wulff and Walden? Imagine that.
Ernie Kent was a terrible hire yes. I don’t know exactly what Moos was thinking, but Kent did produce a .529 win percentage at St. Mary’s and a .576 at Oregon, so I am guessing that Moos thought Kent would do the same at WSU. But he’s been terrible. So yes that was a bad hire. Kent is paid way too much without results to warrant it. Probably Moos only significant error.
Bill Moos built facilities that ushered WSU into the modern era.
In 2010/2011 our operating revenue was just 38 million dollars
https://accreditation.wsu.edu/docum...1-wsu-athletics-audited-financial-report.pdf/
Last year in 2017 it was 64 million
http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/
That’s a growth of 26 million dollars.
Now before people say but but the Pac 12 deal.
The Pac 12 dispersed 30.9 to schools in 2017
(Set for 33 million in 2018)
https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/06...d-and-getting-worse-as-the-big-ten-cashes-in/
In 2011 the Pac 10 dispersed just 6.7 million to WSU. (We did not have equal revenue distribution at that time)
http://blogs.mercurynews.com/colleg...nd-basketball-the-conference-revenue-figures/
So taking into account the Pac 12 distribution from 2011 and today. We are making 24 million more dollars from the conference.
And Bill Moos as AD increased WSU’s revenue by 2 million dollars / year without the conference money.
He served for 8 years as AD a 2 million dollar per year revenue increase over his tenure is worth 16 million extra dollars to WSU.
He was paid 455k / year. So subtracting that over 8 years (3.6 million)
Bill Moos made WSU 12.4 Million dollars.
Where is your 12.4 million dollar contribution to WSU?
