Can somebody talk about how Eric Morris will run the Air Raid?
Will he run a modified Air Raid?
I hope it's not the standard Run the ball only about 23% to 29% of the time, defense drops 8, rushes 3, Air Raid.
I hope that Eric Morris runs a Modified Air Raid, where Run the ball 34% to 37% of time, and that JDL, runs the ball about 4 to 6 to 8 times at minimum. Where the starting RB, gets about, at least 16 carries, hand offs per game, and about 1,2 screens, 1,2 shovel passes, 1,2 sideline passes, 1,2 flat passes, 1,2 slant, curl, out passes.
I hope Eric Morris's Air Raid has a Mix of left, middle, right, short, medium, deep, screen, shovel, sideline, pass to flats, slants, curls, post, outs, etc, type of passes.
I hope that Eric Morris's Air Raid counts number of defenders in the box, and if there is only 3,4,5 in the Box, then has JDL audible to either a run, a QB run, a shovel pass, screen, toss sweep, a pass that is a long hand off to the RB, etc.
I hope Eric Morris's Air Raid, has 1,2 reverses, Jet sweeps, direct hand off, snap to WR, every 1,2,3,4 games.
I hope Eric Morris's Air Raid has some, a mix of Air Raid, Pistol, Run and Shoot, Spread Formations, and that his Air Raid will Spread the defense out, and make the defense defend every single blade of grass on the football field, so that there will be zones, open spaces, to pass, run the ball.
If Eric Morris's Air Raid works like this, it will be hard to stop. And I think WSU can recruit to it. And I think JDL can run it effectively, and that future QB's can run it effectively.
I don't want to see a exact copy of Leach's Air Raid with 5 to 10 plays, 2,3, formations on a napkin, playbook, that is only runs ball 23%, only 10 carries for starting RB, and hardly ever passes medium, to deep, that consistently runs 4 WR into 8,9 DB's, that won't have the QB, RB run, when there are only 2 in the box rushing the QB.
I hope that on 2nd down and 6 inches, etc, and 3rd and inches, that will run the ball about 90% of the time, instead of passing about 67% of time on 2nd, 3rd and inches.
I don't know what kind of Air Raid Eric Morris runs.
