Is WSU at risk of Elleby transferring if Kent and staff are fired?

More likely, Elleby will be gone if EK isn't fired.
So, he signed with WSU because of the assistants or one of them? If that's the case, should said assistant be promoted to HC?
Biggest reason will be other schools see his game tape and contact him through back channels.
This is the AAU era - every guy has a guy who does the talking for his guys.
Elleby no different. His dad is very visible in the Seattle AAU world. He ran a ranking service on players for years. He knows the college coaches and they know him.
The cougs will keep Kent for another year.All the caterwauling is for naught. If Ellerby s dad is an entrepreneur then more power to him. He does run a recruiting service and has kept his hand in basketball/ There are lasting friendships with all the coug coaches who all have previous ties to WSU. Kent has another year to turn this ship around . They have had some success on the recruiting trail and have one more scholarship.So buckle up and get ready for another year. The shrillers are basically not financially wealthy but if Kent does not produce net year then they may have their way.
I have no doubt that's already taking place. Of course I thought other Pac 12 offers would come in before he signed. Maybe they did so I figured the relationship with his dad and Haskins must be pretty strong. Other posters have indicated he's committed to being at WSU and obviously we have to hope that continues to be the case.
Ernie's job until the end of next season is to get the women and children to the lifeboats. He already rammed the ship into an iceberg. That can't be undone. It's not turning around.
And even if it does, it has no fuel left and will be adrift until Ernie's contract runs out or Chun shoots Ole Yeller.
