Jerry Palm predicting Peach Bowl Vs LSU

Utah squeaked by what is now a 6-6 BYU at home. Sadly I don’t see the Utes as much of a roadblock for another UW conference title. I think we would have dispatched them with even more ease.

I think LSU is the worst matchup for us between rankings 6-10 but I’d rather play them than UCF.

looks like there is a great possibility we will be playing in either the Fiesta or the Peach bowl. I’d prefer the Peach for the history, Fiesta for the location. Would be extra sweet if Utah beats UW to send the huskies to San Antonio.

So if the Peach Bowl is a NY 6 game, why is it played on Dec. 29? Is that like the Big 10 and Big 12?

Oh and as an aside, I noticed that the Big 10 plays 9 conference games, as does the Big 12. Big 12's conference title game is a joke of course. You play everybody, then you play again.

Do you think ESPN is going to air two games at the same time? Minimize rating? Not have a top matchup leading into the semifinals?

The NY6 Bowl game times have been set with the hopes of maximizing the number of people that watch the games (all on ESPN) and to avoid conflicts with the NFL. This year you have:

December 29th
Noon EST - Peach Bowl
4 pm EST - Cotton Bowl
8 pm EST - Orange Bowl

January 1st
1 pm EST - Fiesta Bowl
5 pm EST - Rose Bowl
8:45 pm EST - Sugar Bowl

None of the games are likely to overlap and they should have a half hour between games to talk about them. Last year, they had games on December 29th and 30th, as well as January 1st. The Rose Bowl had enough clout at the time of the agreement to guarantee that the game will be played in the late afternoon on January 1st so all of the other games (and the CFP itself) are shuffled around to accommodate that.

Fiesta will kickoff at 11 AM Az time?! That certainly screws up the tailgating.
