Can’t really disagree with most of it. The last part is a stupid cheap shot that probably shouldn’t be taken by a guy who’s won ZERO games as a head coach towards a coach who’s won 132 and counting.
Jimmy Lake is a nobody compared to Mike Leach in the coaching world and odds are never will come close to what Leach has accomplished.
I hope Leach remains here a long time too.

But it is stupid shallow smack talk from a team that has drastically underperformed anybody's expectations this year. Wonder what his words of profound wisdom were after the Oregon game ?
He may think that type stuff is cute when he says it , but it also explains why he is probably a lifelong assistant and hardly mentioned for Head Coaching gigs.

Many GSL kids hold a torch vs WSU for not getting a chance. Truth be told, the GSL has very very few D1 talent. So a kid like Jimmy, who makes All-League his senior year, Yet has 4 career Varsity wins in 3yrs, thinks he better than he is.

Right? Having an extreme system doesn't really make for any on the fly meaningful adjustments. Even if you put something in during the off season it will be on tape all year anyway. With Leach you get what he runs and it isn't changing drastically. I still maintain that it gives a school in our situation the best chance to win a lot more games then we lose and if that means you end up with a team or two that are perennial bad match ups, so be it. It sucks that it's them, but whatever. I still wouldn't trade for less wins yearly, but beating them more often.

Agree. Lake looks like an idiot. The weather was a factor and Leach should have a set or two for these conditions.

After sleeping on it , personal theory of why UW is being so over the top with their comments on a 28-15 game that was a one score game fairly late into the 3rd Quarter.
All they had to hear from the Oregon game forward was Cougs this and Cougs that, while they were getting zero attention. This is a classic "hey look at me" , aren't we great reaction. Still think they could show a little class but I guess that is not their style. They are fools if they think all of that post game trash talk is good look for them to unbiased people outside the state of Washington.
Well they have the attention back on them, let's see what they do with it. Is Jimmy Lakes excuse if they get smoked by Utah or tOSU it was because they changed their offense too much. Also his statements are basically saying he so much smarter than all of the other P12 coaches that have not stopped the air raid, doubt that if making him real popular with that group.

I actually felt OK with being down only 20-15 late in the third. It could have been much worse, sort of like the past four ACs that were over by half time. Still stings to lose, however.

But the other 10 defensive assistants in P12 face the same air raid that he does every year, is he inferring that he is a genius and they are all idiots ?
If that is the case why is this guy buried as an assistant and not a hot commodity head coaching prospect ? He is technically not even that young when you consider how many younger or same age guys are already heading up P5 programs , many now for multiple years.
You would think that it would be time for some program to tap into this untapped genius and hire him to lead their program. I will hide and watch to when that happens.
The offense is based on short passes.....7.3 yards per clip. The balls to the flat were the last option and took time...long enough to be covered when they happened. That and dictating when they were going to run.
Everything he said is true . Same game plan. But funny thing because of that so is uw’s.
But I agree let the press and pundants speak his truth. Not Lakes place .
