He makes 1.5 million a year as the OC at Missouri, I doubt WSU would spend much more than that on the next coach, so he's probably out. I am sure the administration is looking at this as the perfect opportunity to reset the salary structure from a power 5 program to a G5 program. So don't expect any big hires.

But what about someone who wants to run a program instead of being an assistant? Then it is more about opportunity.
