Leach hospitalized

If noting the bizarreness of someone walking into a room and farting while announcing that no one better fart in the room where people are solemnly expressing concern over someone’s well being makes me “set off” then one can only conclude that you are struggling to suppress a fart of your own.
How ****ing old are you? 12?
For Christ's sake, give it a rest...

Nope. I let ‘em rip

People - “Grow up”
Instigators - “my political commentary on every thread is 100% facts, why are you blowing a gasket!?”
People - “cool story bro…again…grow up”

Instigator? Telling the truth, even if you don't like it, is not "instigating."

I suggest you grow up special snowflake.

61 years old men.
He’s not very old at all - but I suspect if you aren’t taking good care of yourself physically the lifestyle can take a huge toll - long hours, high pressure, travel, and unhealthy eating.
A lifetime ago I worked in field sales and had to do lots of travel and schmoozing - hotel/restaurant meals, catered meals etc and often booze. Hard to eat healthy and get regular exercise in - I suspect the coaching environment isn’t too different.

Agreed. Eating out in restaurants all the time, could be problematic. Diet is really important to all of us over a certain age. Eating vegetables daily, limiting sugar, etc...does have a huge upside.

Not sure if it's diet, or genetics.....but the coughing for the past decade....wonder if it's tied to the stroke, or just diet, or both?

Hard to say - could be allergies or perhaps acid reflux, which is not unusual for people under a lot of stress.

A persistent cough is a symptom of congestive heart failure, which would make sense if he's had fluid around his heart and lungs.

I’m guessing you meant cough.

Tough deal about Leach and it sucks that things have gone the way that they have. Hope he pulls through but I’m guessing that the rumors are all true and that the end is inevitable and soon.

I will say that all the talk of “Thoughts and Prayers” is very frustrating for me. My mother was a truly wonderful person who treated everyone well and was a friend to everyone. She ended up with a severe medical condition that led to the amputation of her right leg just above the knee. Her last year on earth was filled with pain and misery and all the bullsh!t prayers in the world didn’t help a bit. I lost faith in the notion that praying accomplishes anything that year.

People need to do what feels best for them, but whatever is happening for Leach is already in motion and all we can do is wait to find out what that is. He was a difference maker and I’m glad that he came to Pullman and gave us some of his time. I do feel terrible for his family and wish them the best moving ahead.

Yes, cough. Not sure what my fingers were doing there.

Sure - or it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s on blood pressure meds - ace inhibitors like lisinopril are notorious for causing a dry cough. It’s just speculation though and Leach certainly isn’t the kind to divulge personal stuff like that so we’ll never know.

I had often wondered, with the dozens and dozens of press releases, the interviews, the podcasts, etc...I was wondering why a doctor or anybody for that matter, didn't speak up and say...."Coach Leach, with all due respect, have you seen a doctor about your persistent coughing"?

I think I saw one interview, where the host actually said something. But of course, he didn't push it.

I mean, this went on for a decade. Why nobody had the balls to say, "look, this could be a sign, or a red flag", go see a specialty doctor".

Maybe they did. Maybe even the family suggested, and maybe he was stubborn and refused to get diagnosed?

All I can say is that it crossed my mind, that something was wrong, every time he coughed during an interview. It was always consistent and noticable.

We really don't know, but his family does.
