He has not really been effusive with praise for the team in the past few seasons outside of a few compliments for specific players or units on specific days. I get the sense in watching him this year that he feels the Cougs are about to take a step. He has not really stated that, but I don't recall him being quite as up beat after the first few practices any other season. Maybe I am looking too deep for positives, but he has seemed to have a bit different vibe to him. What do you folks think?
Leach seems more positive overall this year.

Based on the practices so far (early to really tell), neither side seems to be dominating or showing signs of alarming weaknesses. The match-ups look good and the intensity is consistent. Players are healthy and there are legitimate battles being fought for spots. Seems like it's almost everything a coach could want this early on.
Yeah, I get that too. Just seems he is generally less aggrivated in his post practice interviews. Seems genuinely happy about the OL, and overall pleased with the D progress. Not a bunch of comments about lack of consistency and lack of effort thus far.
